- Fiction Update:
Counterfeit World is now available
on amazon.com. To
anyone who reads the book and who would like to write a fair and
honest review (as opposed to what other kind of review I don't
know) for either the Starcrossed Productions site or for
amazon.com, please feel free to do so. I would also certainly
welcome any private feedback about the book.
Thank you to those
of you who have already purchased the book! I learned a lot from
writing Counterfeit World, and I'm now working on my next two
projects. <G>

A Message from Rochelle Lesser, School Psychologist
& Founder of the Land of PureGold
Foundation
The Land of PureGold Foundation became a Maryland
recognized charitable and educational non-profit corporation in
February 2005. Its formation follows a span of seven years that
the Landofpuregold.com 800+ page site has
been a presence on the web, engaging in charitable deeds and
providing educational activities to promote the Human-Canine Bond.
Our mission is to support and promote responsible dog care and
ownership as well as respectful and consistent training
practices—the love shared between mankind and dogs so engendering
a mutual strength and healing power. We are therefore endeavoring
to maintain and extend that purest of relationships. However, the
magnitude of the problem with cancer is huge, with one in three
dogs developing cancer. To address this, our foundation is
developing creative media, such as our Gotta Dance! Documentary, to raise
monies for cancer treatment and research in comparative oncology.

The Golden Crown Literary Society
Announces Lesbian Fiction Award Winners
(New
Orleans, LA, June 25, 2005) – The Golden Crown Literary
Society—the premier organization for the support and nourishment
of quality lesbian literature—presented the first annual
"Goldies," Saturday evening, June 25, 2005, in a lavish awards
ceremony attended by 200 publishers, authors, editors and fans.
The 2005 awards honored the best in lesbian fiction
written in 2004 in three categories: lesbian romance/erotica,
lesbian sci-fi/fantasy/paranormal/speculative, and lesbian
mystery/action/adventure/thriller. Three winners in each
category were selected by a panel of expert, impartial judges
based on a complex rating formula. In all there were fifty-five
nominated titles from sixteen different publishers.
"With
the Goldies we have gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure a
fair, unbiased awards program—one with integrity and
credibility. The winners represent a cross-section of
publishers and writing styles, and that, we believe, is as it
should be," said Golden Crown Executive Director Cathy LeNoir.
"It was a pleasure to honor such amazing works, and to
give them the recognition they so richly deserve," said Lori L.
Lake, the GCLS Awards Administrator. "These fine authors and all
others who were nominated represent the very best of today's
lesbian fiction."
