You'd
think it would be the one I use in e-mails ("To conquer others
is to have power; To conquer yourself is to know The Way") but
actually I have two I like better. (1) "Dead end"
(Callisto in Maternal Instincts) (2) "Was it snowing on Mt
Amaro?" (Xena in Ides of March) |
| Do
you have a Xena collection? |
Yes
and growing. Scripts and books including novels, official magazines,
dolls, soundtrack CDs, episode videos and comics are what I have
most of, meaning few if any items in these categories are missing
from my collection. I also collect photos (some signed), posters,
lithos and paintings, trading cards, calendars, rare and interesting
items such as plates and mugs, and any cheaper items that I find at
conventions. |
Have
you met anyone
from the show? |
Bruce
Campbell, Robert Trebor, Ted Raimi, Claire Stansfield, Danielle
Cormack, Paris Jefferson, Adrienne Wilkinson, Hudson Leick, Tim
Omundson, William Gregory Lee, Alexandra Tydings, Musetta Vander,
Karl Urban, in that order. Also Jennifer Blanc from "Dark

| Anything
else to add? |
On
12th July 1997 I decided to watch the opening
episode in what I expected to be just another good new TV series.
When I had seen a few episodes it was somehow more than any other TV
show before or since. Suddenly I wanted to read about the actors and
the mythology, and that had never happened to me before. Once I
started collecting information it became increasingly evident that
there was a message behind it. Xena has taught me many things, not
least of which is the possibility of forgiving yourself and others
and starting afresh. It has made me cry and it has made me laugh;
sometimes just a snigger, sometimes a loud chuckle, and
sometimes there's a real belly laugh one-liner that still comes to
mind now and then and have to explain to other people why I am
giggling.
