I see the world through solemn eyes

I know too much, I'm worldly wise

For some things were revealed to me

At far too young an age, you see

Childhood innocence was destroyed

By one perverted, wicked boy

He took from me a precious gift

And changed forever how I live

Yes, my ability to trust

Was decimated by his lust

I can't get close to anyone

And all because of what was done

I wonder what I would have been

If not for that disgusting sin

He stole my life, that's what he did

And from when I was just a kid

My life was channelled on a course

That was dictated by that source

I never got to choose my way
