"Xena! Over here." Gabrielle watched the dark woman calmly walk to her table and look at her guests. "Look who I found." She waved her hand around at Iolaus and Hercules.

Xena nodded.

"Hello Xena, been a long time." Hercules smiled. "Sit and have a drink with us."

Xena sat down next to Gabrielle and grabbed a mug off of the table. "Don't mind if I do." She drowned it in one gulp and grabbed for another.

Gabrielle laughed causing Xena to look up at her in confusion. "What?"

"Nothing...its just that Iolaus said that..." She started laughing again.

"You gonna tell me?"

"No." Gabrielle hid her face with her hands and continued to laugh.

"I think you've had a bit too much, Gabrielle." She moved the few mugs from Gabrielle's grasp.

"Hey!"

"Enough." Xena ordered.

Gabrielle slouched and sat back against the chair.  "Fine."

Hercules shook his head and laughed.

Xena looked up at him, glaring. "Don't you start with me."

"Wasn't even thinking about it." He gave a sexy smile, keeping eye contact for a moment, then looked away.

Xena watched him for a few seconds then shook her head and grabbed for her mug. She saw the woman walking around with the trays, and waved her over. "Another round. Three." The woman walked off.

"So Xena," started Iolaus. "done anything interesting since the last time we met?"

She shook her head and took another gulp of port. She looked over at Gabrielle to see that she had already passed out.

Hercules saw her look and said calmly, "When we got here, she was already drinking." He saw her glare. "Don't look at me that way, with those eyes." He smiled.

She rolled her eyes and looked away. "And how much have you had?"

"A lot." He leaned forward on the table. "She's quite a laugh when she's drunk."

"Oh, care to tell me what you talked about, or do I have to guess." She smiled, raising a brow.

"I'll tell you if you want. He stopped and didn't say a word.

"Well?"

"Oh yeah, sorry." Again he stopped and waited.

Xena closed her eyes and shook her head. "Fine." She rose and grabbed her mug from the serving tray, as she threw a few dinars on the bar, then walked outside.

The moon was high, causing enough light to surround the little village. She looked up to see a few clouds threatening to cover it. She walked further and sat down on the well, that was in the middle of the street. She heard footsteps and looked up to see Hercules. She looked away.

She felt him sit down next to her. Turning, she saw a big smile on his face. "What?"

"Nothing. You get irritated so easily."

"Yeah, well it depends on the company."

"Good one."

"So you have a reason for disturbing me or what?"

"Actually I do."

"And it is?"

"I wanted to talk to you."

"About what?"

"Us."

She looked away. "That was a long time ago."

"Yes it was."

She took a breath. "So what about it?"

"I was just rethinking things."

"And?"

"I never should of let you go, you know."

She started to stand, but Hercules grabbed her arm and pulled her back down. "Don't go."

"I don't want to talk about this."

"I do."

"Then go talk to Iolaus. He loves to hear himself talk." She smiled.

"I'd rather talk to you." He slid closer. "Xena. Xena, look at me."

She did and held her breath. She felt a lump forming in her throat.

"I know you had your reasons for leaving and I respect that. I also know that I...." He stopped. "I had this all thought out, for the next time I would see you."

"Just let it go."

"I can't."

She studied his face. His eyes held a warm glow. She found herself looking lower at his lips. Although it had been so long, she could still feel them against her mouth, and body. She remembered how his strong arms felt around her, hands running down her legs. She took in a breath to calm her racing heart as she closed her eyes. When she opened them, she saw him looking at her. He leaned closer to her face, lips almost touching.

He closed his eyes and felt her warm breath against his face. He lightly touched her lips and felt her pull back. He opened his eyes to look at her. "What's wrong?"

"I can't do this." She stood and walked away.

He sighed and looked up at the moon.

Gabrielle opened up her eyes and groaned. "Oh gods, I'm never drinking again."

"I'm surprised you woke up so early. With the half gallon you drank and all."

Gabrielle closed her eyes again. "Next time I want to drink, kill me."

"No problem."

Gabrielle sat up and looked at her friend. "I was kidding."

"Oh." She smiled.

"You...." she stood and swatted Xena lightly in the stomach.

"Hey."

"Just you watch it warrior. I'm a bard with a bad hangover." She laughed.

"Fine. If you say so." She watched the bard move about the room, looking for her boot.

"Have you seen the other boot?"

Xena smiled and pointed to the floor.

Gabrielle looked down and saw she was wearing the other one. "Oh, woops." She slid the other one on and laughed. "Don't say it."

"Say what?" Xena asked innocently.

Gabrielle grunted and walked to the door.

"Uh Gabrielle. You should get dressed before you go."

Gabrielle looked down at herself. "What? You don't want me going down there into a room half full of men in my shift?"

"Not exactly no."

"Ah Xena. I didn't know you cared." She laughed as she grabbed her skirt. Sliding off the shift, she stretched.

Xena watched as she rose her arms high stretching out the aching muscles and groaned silently. 'Great Xena.  Just what you need, more distractions.' She looked away towards the window, and prayed that Gabrielle would hurry up. She heard the door close and turned around, then sighed when she found herself alone in the room.

Gabrielle stopped outside the door. 'What was that all about? She didn't even look at me when I talked to her. She just turned and stared out the window.' She shook her head and walked on down the hallway. She opened the door and walked into the room. Looking around, she saw Hercules and Iolaus sitting at a table against the back wall.

She sat down next to Iolaus and smiled. "Don't look so glum."

They looked up.

"Did I surprise you?"

"A little." Iolaus said.

"So Hercules," she started, "what did you guys all do last night?"

"Not much. Just sat here and drank."

"Oh, and then Herc when out with X...." Iolaus received an elbow in the side for that. "Hey, what the big idea?" He stared at Hercules and laughed. "Okay. I'm going to go and check on things." It sounded lame but he went with it.

They watched him leave. Gabrielle slid closer. "What was that all about?"

"Nothing."

"Not nothing. I know that elbow move well. Come on tell me."

"No."

"You're just like Xena."

He looked at her.

"Sorry." She turned away. "That's it, isn't it. Xena."

He nodded.

"Tell me what happened."

He looked up at her. "You always want to know about everyone don't you."

"I do."

He stood. "Sorry, Gabrielle. I just don't feel like talking." He walked out.

Gabrielle slouched her shoulders and sighed as she walked out herself.

+++

Xena walked through the door, to the tavern and looked around. There didn't seem to be any problems so she took a seat in the back and ordered some breakfast.

Hercules walked in and instantly saw her. He looked around for a spot that was away from her and took a seat at the bar.

Xena rose and headed for the bar, and saw Hercules.  She took a seat next to him and waited till he looked up at her. She smiled.

He looked back down. "Xena."

"Yeah and you're Hercules. We know our names. Tell me what's up."

He looked at her. "I'm fine." He looked away.

She stood and walked out of the tavern. He followed.

"Xena wait up."

She stopped. "Well."

"I'm sorry for the way I acted in there. It's just that I...."

"You what? No don't tell me." She turned and kept walking into the trees.

He sighed and followed. "Where are you going?"

"There's a small lake down here. I'm going for a swim.  I'll talk to you later." She ran ahead.

He reached the lake and looked around. No sign of Xena. He saw a pile of clothes on the ground and her metal armor hanging on a tree. "Xena."

As if on cue, she emerged from the water, in a splash.  Looking towards the shore, she saw him. "What?"

"Can we talk?"

"No." She dove under again.

He shook his head and walked into the water, not even bothering to take off his clothes.

When she surfaced again, she didn't see him on the beach. 'Finally left.'

"Over here." He called as if reading her mind.

She turned around and saw him behind her. She rolled her eyes. "I said that I would talk to you later."

"It's later." He swam closer.

She backed up.

He moved closer and saw her back up again, then he stopped. "Fine. I'll stay away."

"Good."

"Things were fine before, what's wrong?"

"I'm fine. I just want to be alone for awhile." She turned and swam away.

He grabbed hold of her waist and pulled her to him.  She could feel his breath on her neck and shuddered.  He noticed. "I'm sorry about last night. I was a little drunk. I seem to say things without thinking.  I'm so sorry."

She nodded. The feel of his body against hers was too much for her. "Fine, I forgive you. Can I go now?" She felt him shake his head. "Why not?"

He didn't answer.

"Well."

He held her tighter. "I'm sorry Xena."

"For what?"

He kissed her neck lightly. "For that."

"Don't do this."

"I can't help it." He moved his hand along her side, coming to rest just below her breast. He didn't hear her protest and covered her breast with his hand. He heard her moan lightly. He squeezed gently. "I can remember the last time I held you. Felt your skin, your scent, your voice."

She shuddered. Reality came back to her. She pulled away and moved from his grip. "No, I can't do this."

"Why?"

"Because I can't."

"But this feels right. I want you, you...want..."

"I don't want this."

"Then who or what do you want?"

She felt her bottom lip quivering. "I want Gabrielle."  She swam to shore and grabbed her clothes, walking out of view.

+++

Gabrielle bit her lip, trying to remember the story she had thought of earlier. She twirled her quill around and smiled as she began to write it down. She heard Xena come in and throw her armor down on the floor. She looked up and hid a smile. The warrior looked...troubled. She smiled then hid it again. "Bad day?"

"Yeah, you could say that."

"Sorry."

"Yeah well...." She opened up her saddlebags and started looking for something.

"What are you looking for?"

"The oil."

"It's in the side pocket."

Xena reached in. "Thanks."

"Yup." She looked back down at her scroll. When she looked back up, she saw Xena rolling her shoulders around. "You okay?"

"I'm fine, I'm just stiff."

"Want me to rub your shoulders?"

"No." She shook her head. "Thanks. I got it." She sat down and squirted some oil out onto her hands. She reached back and started to rub the muscles. She couldn't reach all that well, but it would have to do.  There was no way she was going to let Gabrielle near her. Not with her this way. She let out a small 'ah' as she hit a sore muscle.

Gabrielle watched her through it all. She set her scroll aside and sat up on her knees. "Come here."

Xena looked up at her and was about to speak when Gabrielle interrupted her.

"Now." She pointed in front of her and waited for Xena to move. "Come on Xena, I'm not going to bite." Unless you ask nicely. She smiled.

Xena hesitated but gave up. She couldn't reach the muscles anyway. She sat down on the bed, in front of Gabrielle and handed her the oil. She felt Gabrielle's soft hands slide over her shoulder and sighed. 'Yeah, this is going to help me.' Her thumb rubbed at the muscles in her neck and Xena let her head fall forward.  "That's good. Right there."

Gabrielle smiled. "See, its not so bad to have someone help you." She used her palms to push harder against the skin along Xena's spine. She could feel the muscles relax. She moved from her back and up to her shoulders again. Rubbing over her shoulders, down to her collar bone. She rubbed lightly at first then harder as the muscles refused to give. "Did you talk to Hercules? He seemed upset."

"I did."

"Is he okay?"

"He's fine." She accidentally let a groan escape her lips and regretted it. She rolled her head and felt the remaining muscles give. The hands at her neck stopped. She turned around and smiled. "Thanks."

"No problem. I'm here for you. Just ask." She sat down and returned to her scroll.

"I'll remember that." She moved from the bed and put the oil back in the saddlebags. She remembered something she had hid in the bags and poked through them searching. She found a wrapped up package and sat back as she opened it. She smiled and moved to the bed. "Gabrielle." She saw the bard raise her head.  "Here." She sat down and showed the package to Gabrielle. She saw her face light up as she saw the strawberries.

"Xena. Oh wow. How did you get them?"

"My secret." She smiled as she held one up.

Gabrielle leaned forward to bite at the fruit but it was pulled back. "Hey."

"Wait." She moved closer. "Close your eyes." She waited. Slowly she ran the fruit along Gabrielle's lips. Again Gabrielle opened her mouth to bite it and again it was pulled back.

"Don't tease me." Her eyes stayed closed.

'Oh just wait my bard. Just wait.' She ran the fruit over her lips again. Pulling it away, she bit off the tip and again ran it over her lips. Once the juice
covered her bottom lip, she stopped. "Lick your lips."  She watched as the pink tongue slowly came out and tasted the juice on the lips. She closed her eyes and held back the urge to do something she'd regret.

"Can I have it now Xena?" She opened her mouth and felt the fruit slide in. She chewed it and smiled.  "Thanks. Its great."

Xena smiled.

"So what did you and Hercules talk about?"

"Stuff."

"Stuff, just stuff."

"Yeah."

"Not much for girl talk are you?"

"No."

"You like him, huh?"

"Not in the way you're implying."

"But you and he....you were intimate once."

"That was a while ago, Gabrielle."

"The fire's not there anymore." Her eyes were still closed.

"Don't move." She rose from the bed and moved to a drawer. Pulling something out, she moved back to the bed. "Okay. Don't open your eyes. Just smell and taste." She ran the object under Gabrielle's nose letting her smell it. "Stick out your tongue." She ran the object across her tongue. "What is it?"

Gabrielle's face held a look of concentration. "It's um...I know this...uh...oh I forget what is it?"

"Chocolate."

Gabrielle opened her eyes. "Really." She grabbed a piece from her hand and popped it into her mouth.

"I knew you'd like it."

"Mmm I do. Thanks."

"Here." She handed the rest to her.

"You want any?"

"No."

"Come on." She held a piece out. "Please." She watched as Xena took the piece from her, running a tongue over her fingers before doing so. "See, it's good huh?"

She nodded.

"Any more strawberries?"

She held up the package. "Three." Her eyebrow raised.  She needed to stop this before it went too far, but she couldn't. She was having too much fun.

"Can I have them?" She snatched one away anyway and popped it into her mouth. "Mmm." She held one out for Xena. "Come on." She wiggled the fruit. "You know you want it."

Xena closed her eyes. 'Oh gods, she had to say that.'  She opened them again and leaned forward to take the fruit. It moved from Gabrielle's fingers, to her mouth. She watched as Gabrielle positioned it between her teeth. "Now how am I supposed to get it?" She already knew the answer.

Xena smiled as she leaned forward, covering Gabrielle's mouth with her own. The strawberry slid into her mouth and she chewed it. Once the flavor
swirled around in her mouth, she pushed her tongue through and pulled Gabrielle's into her mouth.

Gabrielle moaned when she felt Xena's tongue against hers. She could taste the strawberry juice and Xena.  She moaned again as the kiss deepened. She pulled back for breath and looked at Xena. "I uh..." She nodded.

Xena smiled and moved a hand to the back of Gabrielle's head, as she pulled her forward. Their mouths met again and it was Gabrielle who pushed her way through, battling with Xena's tongue. Without thought, Xena ran her hands down Gabrielle's body, stopping at her breasts. She heard Gabrielle gasp and looked down to see what she was doing. She pulled back. "Oh gods, Gabrielle, I'm sorry. I didn't mean....." She moved away.

Gabrielle moved closer to her. "Sorry for what?"

Xena looked at her. "For going too fast."

"You're forgiven."

Xena smiled.

"I admit it surprised me, but it didn't upset me."

"Gabrielle.....I...love you. I love you." There she said it.

"Oh, is the mighty warrior princess having troubles talking?"

"You making fun of me?" She smiled.

"What would you do if I was?" She saw the wicked smile cross Xena's face and swallowed a huge lump that seemed to be lodged in her throat.

Xena started to tickle the bard.

"No...Xena...don't." She laid down on her back, trying to get loose. She felt Xena sit on her stomach and keep tickling. "No." She kept laughing. When she felt her arms go above her head, the tickling stopped. She looked up at Xena. Before she could ask, Xena's lips were on hers. Searching, the tongue probing deeper and deeper. She moaned and raised her knees up around Xena's legs. When she felt Xena slide down onto her body, she wrapped her legs around her. "Xena." She pulled back.

Xena looked at their position and smiled. "I can't seem to control myself around you."

"Who's complaining?"

Xena moved her mouth down to Gabrielle's again. She felt Gabrielle hit her hips against her own and couldn't help but do the same. They moved together and kissed passionately. "Gabrielle, tell me if you want to stop cause if we don't now, I won't be able to."

"Then don't." She pushed harder against Xena's hips.

"Oh gods." Xena started to unlace Gabrielle's shirt, when there was a loud bang outside. "Ah, not now." She decided to forget about it, but Gabrielle looked at her. "All right." She stood and walked to the window.  "Uh Gabrielle. We need to go help them."

Gabrielle walked to the window and looked out. "Who are those men?"

"Don't know." She looked up at Gabrielle and tied up her shirt. "We'll finish this later." She pulled Gabrielle in for a deep kiss. "And I do mean that."
She walked out of the room, followed by Gabrielle.

Once outside, she could get a good look around. She kicked a soldier coming up behind her and head butted another one. She kicked at one that was attacking a woman. The soldier caught her foot and pushed her down onto the ground. Recovering quickly, she knocked his feet out from under him and straddled his waist. She smiled as she hit two pressure points at his neck.  "Now be a good boy and tell me who sent you." She saw
him struggle. "It'll only get worse if you don't talk."

Nothing.

"I've just cut the flow of blood to your brain, you'll be dead in seconds."

He nodded unable to talk. The blood ran out of his nose freely.

She undid the pinch and watched him gasp as he tried to get his breath back. "Talk."

"Ardis sent us to this village. He was looking for you."

"How did he know I was here?"

"I don't know."

She knew he was telling the truth. She bent low so that he could hear her. "Now you listen to me. Go back to your commander and tell him that I don't scare that easily and if he wants to get rid of me, he'll have to try harder than that." She stood after punching the man unconscious.

"You didn't have to be so rough."

She moved closer to Gabrielle. "I thought you liked rough."

Gabrielle blushed.

"That's a good look for you." She ran a hand down Gabrielle's arm and felt the muscles twitch. "I need to go find out who this Ardis guy is. Wanna come with or stay here?"

"You're asking me?"

"Well yeah."

"Hmm. No."

"No what?"

"I'll stay here. You know, keep everyone out of trouble."

"Try keeping yourself out of trouble."

"Now how can I do that?"

"You'll think of something."

"You're a big help."

Xena shook her eyebrows. "I can be a big help."

"Go find that man. The sooner you get back the sooner we can.....discuss...things."

Xena smiled. "Okay, I'll be back soon." She kissed Gabrielle's forehead and walked to the stables.

Gabrielle shook her head and walked back into the inn and to her room. She laid on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. She smiled as she remembered earlier.  Xena's hands on her body, her mouth, her scent. 'Oh gods that woman is intoxicating. She had better hurry up. At least now I don't have to worry about getting caught staring at her when she's naked or otherwise.'  She drifted off with a dream of Xena.

+++

Thunder sounded through the skies, making Gabrielle wake with a start. She looked around the dark room and squinted into the darkness. She could hear the rain outside and walked to the window. There she could see a dark mess of rain and mud. She looked around and didn't see anyone out in it. She walked back to the bed and reached for a candle underneath.

She set it on a table and headed for the door. She felt around the wall and finally found the knob. Opening it, she had to squint against the light that
flowed through from the eating area. She closed the door behind her and entered the room. She saw a ton of people moving about here and there. She spotted Hercules and Iolaus sitting at the bar and walked to them. Taking an empty seat next to Iolaus, she patted his arm.

He turned. "Hey, Gabs. Where have you been?"

"I fell asleep."

"Oh." He smiled. "Hungry?"

"Yes."

He waved the barkeep over and ordered her some food.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Hey Herc, it's Gabrielle."

Hercules turned and smiled. "I thought you would have gone with Xena."

"I would have and should have, but now looking at this rain I'm glad I didn't." She started to laugh.

"When Xena gets back, she's not going to be in a very good mood. There isn't a shelter near where that guy was camped." Iolaus laughed at himself and turned to Gabrielle. "Why don't you tell a story?"

"Nah."

"Ah, why not?"

"I don't feel like it."

"Tomorrow."

"If I'm here."

"You will be. Xena won't be coming back in this rain."

Just then the door to the tavern opened and in walked one wet warrior. She looked angry as she walked past everyone and through a door leading to her room.

Everyone started up their conversations once she was gone.

Gabrielle patted Iolaus's arm and excused herself as she made her way to her room.

Opening the door, she saw Xena trying to undo wet armor. It slipped around in her fingers. She turned and sighed. "Help me with this please." She turned and walked to Gabrielle.

Gabrielle didn't mind and soon had the warrior out of the slippery armor and heavy leather. She laid each down near the fire pit. She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around Xena's shoulders. "There you go."

Xena shivered. "Cold in here."

"I know, I'm starting a fire."

"Yes, you are."

Gabrielle looked up from her bending position and watched Xena's face. She blushed when she figured out what she was talking about. "I um..."

Xena walked forward and opened up the blanket exposing her nude body for Gabrielle's viewing pleasure. "Come here and warm me up." She wrapped the blanket around Gabrielle and soon felt the heat. "Much better."

"So how did it go with...that...Ar...that guy." She couldn't think straight. The feel of Xena's wet, cold, naked flesh pressed up against her was pulling all thought from her brain.

"Changing the subject?"

"Yes." She freely admitted.

"Oh, I see." She pulled away and Gabrielle immediately felt the loss. "Well if you feel warm enough, I'll go away." She smiled.

"Oh, I think it would be better if we stayed close.  You were out in that cold rain and you could catch a cold."

The blanket was again wrapped around her. "Good.  "She started kissing down Gabrielle's neck, sending shivers up the woman's spine. "Are we warming up yet?"

"Oh yeah."

Xena pulled her closer to her and while holding the blanket around them, managed to untie Gabrielle's shirt. She slid it off of the soft shoulders and threw it down. She undid the belt and the skirt fell down.  "Almost. Here, hold this." She handed Gabrielle the ends of the blanket and lowered into the blanket.

Gabrielle didn't know what she was doing until she felt her breeches being slid off. "Oh." She held her breath as those strong hands ran up and down her thighs. She felt soft kisses placed at her knees and almost fell then. "Xena, I need to sit down." She felt herself being picked up and deposited on the bed.

"Are you ready for this Gabrielle?"

"Yes."

With the blanket on, Gabrielle couldn't see Xena as she once again disappeared under the blanket. She felt hands running up her legs, hips, and stomach. As they reached her breasts, she arched into the touch. "Oh gods, mmm."

Xena smiled and brought a tongue to taste Gabrielle's sweet skin. As she circled a nipple she felt Gabrielle arch more into her touch, trying to get closer to her.  She lavished each breast until Gabrielle started to grind her hips against hers. Feeling Gabrielle's need, she slid lower and moved her mouth over Gabrielle's slick folds. She groaned as she tasted her love for the first time. The scent and taste that could only be Gabrielle invaded every sense. She groaned again at the pleasure of it all.

She moved a tongue around her sex over and over again, feeling Gabrielle's hips become more urgent. "Come for me, my love." She pulled the hard nub into her mouth and sucked hard, hearing Gabrielle scream out her release along with her name.

Xena moved up Gabrielle's body and poked her head out from under the blanket. "You okay?"

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. Gods that was wonderful." She closed her eyes as the sensations ran over and through her. "I love you."

"I love you too. More than you know." She laid her hand down on Gabrielle's soft breast and as she listened to the heartbeat return to normal, she fell asleep.

+++

When Xena woke, the sun had long past come out. She swore it was noon and cursed herself for sleeping in too long. As she rose, she smiled at herself. "What a dream." She stood and checked her leathers, which were dry. She pulled a shift over her head and walked downstairs, leaving her armor behind.

She saw Hercules and Iolaus as they were last night, sitting at the bar, eating breakfast. "Hey."

"Hey yourself."

She looked at him confused. "What's that about?"

"Because of you, I couldn't sleep a wink last night.  Well not you, Gabrielle, but you still were the cause."

Her jaw dropped. 'It wasn't a dream.' She laughed.  "Sorry. I'll try to keep it down next time." She laughed all the way back upstairs.

There she collapsed on the bed. "I'm going insane."  She put her hands over her head and laughed some more.

She heard the door open and looked up to see Gabrielle. "Morning."

"Morning."

Xena sat up.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I saw you start laughing downstairs and walk away."

"Oh, that, it's nothing."

"Mmm hmm. Sure." She smiled. "So about last night."

"What about it?" She raised a brow. "Didn't like it?"

"Oh gods, of course I did." She laughed. "Its just that something was missing."

"And what was that?"

Gabrielle stepped closer. "I didn't get to please you."

"So what are you going to do about that?"

"I don't know." She smiled and moved Xena's legs apart as she stood between them. Taking Xena's head in her hands, she bent and traced her lips with a tongue.  "Mmm. Yes. Why didn't I do this before." She moved to cover them before demanding entrance in Xena's mouth.  Entrance which Xena gladly gave. She fought Xena's tongue and ran her hands down Xena's shoulders, stopping at her wrists. "I have an idea. Will you let
me do whatever I want with you?"

"Yes."

"Good." She moved away and grabbed a bag off of the table. "I picked up some things. Your legendary likes are not unheard of." She pulled a leather strip out, then another one.

"I don't have to ask what those are for."

Gabrielle looked up. "No, I suppose you've been here before huh."

Xena nodded.

Gabrielle tied her wrists together.

"Just remember. Play nice." She smirked. "I hate to be teased, and I can definitely tease back, so watch it!"

"Oh, I plan on watching it." She pulled Xena to a standing position and over to the other side of the bed, where she laid her down. Putting her hands above her head, she fastened the ties to the bed. She looked down at Xena and couldn't help but steal a kiss. "Now, that we're comfortable. Lets start."

"You'll have to gag me bard."

"Oh, I planned on it." She pulled the cloth out of the bag and ripped it into two separate pieces. "But not just your mouth." She covered her eyes and mouth. "Now that's a sight." She left the bed and walked to Xena's armor and leathers. "Now where is that...ah, here it is." She walked back to the bed with her prize.

Xena felt the cold metal running down her arm and up her shoulder to her neck. She raised her neck for easy access and moaned. The metal slid down between her breasts and she heard a tear.

"You didn't like that shift did you?"

She laughed.

"Hmm."

She shook her head.

"Good." Gabrielle finished pulling the rest of the material off of her warrior and took in the sight as she backed away. "Gods, that is a beautiful sight."  She moved closer to Xena. "You are gorgeous. And you're all mine." She laughed as she threw the dagger to the floor.

Xena wished she could speak, lots of things ran through her mind. 'Just you wait bard. You may have your fun with me, then its my turn, and I give no
mercy.' She smiled against the cloth holding her mouth.

"Now lets see." Gabrielle grabbed her bag and rummaged through it pulling out her quill. She returned to Xena and slowly ran the feather end along her arms, neck, stomach, and legs. She watched Xena start to squirm and loved every minute of it. "You like that?" She saw her nod. Gabrielle smiled and ran the cloth around each breast before throwing it down and continuing with her hands. She felt dizzy as she touched her skin, so soft. Her every dream was coming true now.

She never imagined that she would ever have access to this gorgeous body. The legendary princess is at the mercy of the bard. She liked the ring to that. Running a finger around her breast she started to see Xena squirm more. "Oh I see." She took the breast in her hands. She squeezed and pinched. She looked up at Xena's face and let out a sigh. That was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. Though her eyes were covered. No problem. She pulled the cloth away from her mouth first. "Something you want to say? Huh?"

"Yes, stop teasing me."

"Oh, you don't like this?"

"I do, but.... untie me, Gabrielle."

"No, I don't think so."

"Please. I need to touch you."

"As tempting as that sounds......no. You had your fun, I get mine. And I'm going to have you until you can't stand it anymore."

"Just remember paybacks are a bitch."

"I know. I think I can handle it. Now, do you want me to put the cloth back on or can you be quiet?"

Xena nodded. "I'll be quiet."

Gabrielle bent her head, taking a breast into her mouth and felt Xena arch into her touch. She heard soft sounds coming from her and that drove her on. She swirled her tongue around the breast, staying away from the nipple, until she couldn't stand it anymore and took the whole thing in her mouth. Xena gasped and moaned. Gabrielle knew she should hurry, but couldn't. She planned on learning every inch of this woman.

But that was changed when she felt Xena's legs come up around her and hold her against her. "I said, don't tease me." She pulled harder, grinding her hips against Gabrielle's. Hearing the soft moan come from her, she pushed harder. "You like that, Gabrielle?" She nodded. "Let me go and I'll show you more."

Gabrielle looked up. "No." She took the breast in her mouth again and made sure her movements were slow and paced. She could feel Xena move against her. "Torture is a bitch, huh Xena."

"Gods." She moaned. "Touch me Gabrielle. Feel what you do to me."

Gabrielle trailed her hand down Xena's stomach, twirling it inside and around her navel and traveling lower. She reached the dark curls and ran her hand around them, feeling Xena push against her. She moved lower and dipped a finger into the hot liquid. She was so wet for her. "Gods, Xena, is all this for me?" She smiled as she ran a finger along her folds.

"Come on Gabrielle, do it." She threw her head back and moaned.

"Patience my love, patience."

Xena snapped her head forward and looked at Gabrielle.

Gabrielle knew she was in trouble when she saw that look. "Don't look at me that way. I have you for myself and I'm going to take my time." She saw the head fall back as she started stroking. She was amazed at the amount and the heat of it all. "You have to let me go if you want me to finish this."

She felt Xena's legs move away and spread. "Thank you."  She moved down her body, stopping between her legs. This was all new to her and she smiled as she blew air on Xena and watched her hips jump. Curious, she slipped her tongue out and ran it up a line and felt Xena's hips jump again. Seeing the hard bundle of nerves, she took it into her mouth and sucked hard.  She could hear Xena's cry above her.

When she felt Xena come close, she pulled away and heard a growl from Xena. "Patience."

"Gabrielle, finish it now." Her voice cracked with need and unfilled lust. "Now." She threw her head back as Gabrielle moved up her body.

"And if I don't?"

That was it, Xena couldn't take anymore. She pulled hard at her restraints and broke them easily.  Gabrielle gasped and tried to move away but Xena grabbed her and held her down under her. "Now, I asked you nicely, don't tease me. What did you do? Tease me.  I'll have to just......." Her words were cut off as Gabrielle moved her hips against Xena's. "Oh, yes."  Xena forgot what she was saying and laid down on Gabrielle, grinding their hips together.

It wasn't long before she released with a powerful scream, and collapsed. She didn't move for a second and Gabrielle thought she had fallen asleep until she opened her eyes and looked down at Gabrielle. "You're gonna get it for that."

Gabrielle smiled innocently. "Who, me?"

"Mmm yes. Where did you learn this anyway?"

"Are you kidding, with all the time we spend with the Amazons, you think that I wouldn't ask?"

"Okay." She laid down. "Just don't tease me. I hate that."

"But it paid off in the end."

"Yes it did. Very good my love, very good."

"Ephiny told me that if you drive the passion so far, then stop, the release is even better."

"Oh, she told you that, did she?"

"Yes."

"I see."

"Mad at me?"

Xena looked at her face. "Why would I be mad at you?"

"For a minute there I thought I was in trouble, when you broke free and tackled me."

"Oh, that, sorry, just don't get me all going like that. I hate it. You could lose something."

"Like what?" Her voice shook.

Xena smiled. "No worries. I loved it." She moved down for a kiss and felt Gabrielle's legs come up around her back. "Gabrielle." She soon felt the bards hips grind into her. "And what are we doing now?"

"You had your release, I'm just getting started." She pushed harder. "Oh yeah, just hold still."

Xena smiled and moved her hand down to Gabrielle's sex and rubbed hard. Gabrielle cried out.

"Oh, Xena. Please."

"Please what?"

"Your fingers now."

"My what?" She asked innocently.

"Okay, I get it. I teased you. Please, please now."

"Fair is fair Gabrielle."

"I know, I'm sorry, but please."

Xena looked at the woman's many expressions when she was craving release. "You mean like this." She moved under the cloth and pushed two fingers through, and watched Gabrielle's head fall back.

"Yes, like that. Oh gods, yes." Her hips moved, taking in as much of Xena's fingers as she could.

Xena pulled out.

"What are you doing Xena?"

Xena moved from the bed and looked through her saddlebags.

"Hey, don't leave me like this." She brought her hands down and tried to finish it herself until Xena pulled the fingers away. "Hey!"

"Trust me." She moved behind Gabrielle and ran her hands up her thighs to her breeches. Pulling them down and off, she smiled. "There that's better."

"Xena."

"Patience Gabrielle remember." She unwrapped something and Gabrielle looked up only to be pushed back again.  "Wait. Now close your eyes." When she did, Xena pushed the leather rod into her and watched Gabrielle move her hips. "Like that Gabrielle?"

"Oh yes, mmm." She licked her lips and moved her hips.

Xena was enjoying this way too much. She unlaced Gabrielle's shirt and brought a mouth to a breast. First one then the other, until neither was neglected. She could feel Gabrielle reach closer and closer to climax. When she got close. Xena pulled the rod out.

"What are you doing?" She wrapped her legs around Xena and pulled her down on top of her. "Finish it, please." She ground her hips against Xena's and threw÷= her head back as her release claimed her. She closed her eyes and screamed Xena's name, then fell silent and still.

Xena smiled. "Gods, I love you."

"I...love...too...you.." Her breath was hard to catch.

"Tired?" Gabrielle nodded. "Good." She laid down on Gabrielle's chest and again fell asleep to the sound of her heart.

+++

A knock sounded outside the door and Xena was the first to answer it. "What?" She saw Hercules.

Hercules looked down her body, definitely noticing it through the sheet. "Sorry, did I disturb you?"

"Yeah, I was kinda sleeping." She raised a brow. "What did you want?"

"News of that warlord you were after."

"Where is he?"

"Few miles south. If we leave now, we can catch him."

She nodded. "I'll be down in a second." She closed the door and moved over to the bed. "Gabrielle."

Gabrielle squirmed but didn't moved.

"Gabrielle wake up, I have to leave."

Again nothing.

Xena smiled and grabbed a piece of parchment and wrote her a note. She then dressed and walked outside.  She saw Hercules. "Okay, I'm here, lets go."

They mounted the horses and rode off.

Gabrielle yawned as she woke and stretched her muscles. She reached out to find Xena but felt nothing. She sat up and opened her eyes. Xena was gone, but she saw a note. She picked it up and read it out loud.

Gabrielle,

Sorry you had to wake up alone. Ardis is near and we had to go stop him. As in we, I mean Hercules. Go back to sleep and when you wake up, I'll be there.

I love you,
X

She set it down and relaxed. Doing what Xena said, she laid back down and fell asleep.

+++

The rain had started up again and they were forced to find shelter. A small cave was all they could find.  Unloading all the supplies, they made a fire.

As Xena laid out her things to dry, Hercules cut up some meat he had caught.

"So who cooks this?" He asked.

Xena looked up. "I think you should. I know how well I don't cook."

"I think you should, you know just to get the hang of it. I'll set those things out."

"Oh no, you're cooking." She smiled.

"Doesn't that sound familiar."

"Yeah." She laughed and finished up, then sat down next to the fire to warm up. "Getting cold in here."

"Yes it is."

She shivered and he rose to wrap a blanket around her. "Thanks."

He nodded.

She looked out into the forest and sighed. "I need to go get Argo now." She rose and dropped the blanket, then walked out.

A few moments later, she entered with Argo behind.  Making sure she was settled in the back, Xena returned to the fire.

Hercules looked up and closed his eyes. The sight was unfair. She was completely wet, her hair hung down around her face dripping with water. The shift she wore clung to her body tightly, leaving nothing unrevealed. He could see her nipples stick out from the wet rain. He shook his head. 'This is going to be a long night.'

Soon they had a warm meal in their stomachs and a hot fire to sit by.

Hercules was now able to look at her, the shift was dry.

"So Hercules, I hear you've been having trouble with Autolycus."

"Yes."

"Gonna tell me about it?"

"Not much to tell, he tried to steal the great emerald from a temple and I had to bail him out once again."

"He's never going to learn."

"No, he's not." He looked up. "So you and Gabrielle getting along well?"

"Yeah."

"That's good. You love her don't you?"

"Yes, I do." She smiled.

"Some people have all the luck." He shrugged.

"Hercules, do you want to talk about something?"

"No."

"Sure?"

"No."

"You can tell me anything."

"No, I can't."

"Yes, you can." She moved over and sat next to him on the sand. "Come on."

He looked up. "If I had tried following you when you left, would you have let me?"

"I don't know. That was a while ago."

"Then you wouldn't have met Gabrielle."

"No I wouldn't have."

He nodded and stood up. "I'm going for a walk."

"But it's pouring out there."

"I'm a big boy, I can survive." He walked out.

"What is your problem?" She yelled as she walked out to him.

He turned. "I don't have a problem."

"Yes, you do and I think it needs to be said right now."

He walked closer. "My problem is you."

"Me?"

"Yes, I can't help but find myself attracted to you.  No matter what you do."

She shook her head and tried to speak but he interrupted her.

"I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't yell at you. I'm just...." He turned and walked away.

She ran to catch up. "No, you talk to me now."

He didn't stop.

"Now. Damn it, Hercules stop."

He did but didn't turn around.

She moved in front of him. "I'm sorry I hurt you, I'll never forgive myself for that, but you have to move on. I did." She patted his arm.

The rain fell down on them, and soon they were soaked.

Hercules was once again looking at a wet warrior. "See, even now. You just stand there and I want you." He stepped back.

"We can work this out."

"No we can't."

"Why?"

He closed his eyes and felt her soft hand at his cheek. He opened his eyes and looked at her.

"We were friends once. Can't we be friends again?"

He nodded and walked away. She let him this time.

Walking back to the cave, she sighed and walked to follow him. She came to a small pond of some sort. The water looked clean. She was about to turn away, when she heard him splash. She looked over and saw him in the water. Looking down, she saw his clothes on the sand.

"Hercules, what are you doing?"

"Swimming."

"I can see that, but why?"

"Because I want to." He smiled. "Why don't you join me?"

"No, I don't think so. You want to catch pneumonia fine. I'm not."

He shook his head. "The air is warm and so is the water. You won't get a cold."

She sighed and turned around to walk back.

"What's the matter, don't trust me?"

"No, I don't' trust myself."

It was silent between them. She couldn't believe she said that out loud.

Realizing she did, she turned to go.

"Xena, wait."

She turned. "What?"

"Just come in and swim, no worries."

"Fine." She undressed under the watchful eyes of Hercules. She jumped in and swam around. "You're right, this is great." She ducked under the water. As she came up, she saw him swimming around on his back. She laughed and for that minute, didn't have a care in the world.

Hercules swam to her and smiled when she opened her eyes. "I still love you, you know."

"I do." She raised her hands and dunked him under, then swam towards shore.

He came up and swam after her. "Tricky."

She reached shore and started to walk out, when Hercules tackled her from behind. She turned around and they both fell. She on her back and Hercules on top. She felt the wind being knocked out of her. As she tried to get it back she felt hands on her waist and lips over her breasts. She arched then stopped.  "Hercules, no. We can't do this."

"I know. It's not right, but I can't stop myself. I want you so much." He continued to suck on her breasts, taking the nipple in his mouth and biting
down gently.

She should have stopped it, but found it hard to do. Her body knew his touch and was responding to it. "Ah hell, I'll worry about it later." She pulled his lips to hers and took control, while his hands took hold of her breasts again.

She arched under his touch. "Oh gods, Hercules. Take me."

He moved a hand to her dark curls and felt how wet she already was. Repositioning himself, he thrust into her and heard her cry out. He pulled out and thrust again, harder and faster each time.

She wrapped her legs around his back and thrust her hips up to meet him. "Oh yes." She pulled his head to hers and covered his lips, searching for his tongue and moved around it.

With one final thrust, they both came at the same time. Hercules laid down on her, trying to catch his breath. He looked down at her face and kissed her lips. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have."

She ran a hand down his face. "Its okay, I think it was something we both needed." She took a breath. "I just need to find a way to tell Gabrielle."

"Don't."

"I can't lie to her Hercules. It wouldn't be right."

"She'll hate you."

"But at least I'll have told her the truth. She'll never trust me again. I know that."

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah, well so am I."

He tried to move. "Uh Xena, would you like to remove your legs please?"

"No." She smiled up at him.

"I see and why not?"

"Don't know."

"Well if we want to stop that warlord, we have to move."

"I know." She didn't move her legs.

"Trying to tell me something?"

"Yes." She moved her hips against him.

"You sure?"

"I'm already in trouble. I don't get done that easily."

"Okay." He licked her neck, chest and down to her stomach.

She pulled him up to her. "No, just do it."

"I was going to...."

"I know....only Gabrielle can do that."

He smiled. "I understand." He pushed back into her and thrust gently. "This is going to be hell."

"What is?"

"I have you here, I might not want to let you go."

She thrust up to him. "Shut up." She kissed him rough.

+++

When the rain stopped, they had made it back to the cave. The fire was still glowing strong. They sat down next to it and tried to get warm.

Xena looked up at him and smiled. "You know, I'm in serious trouble for this one."

"I do."

She nodded. "Well, we can't go back so we must go forward. But this is to never happen again. Agreed."

"Agreed."

She nodded again and curled up in her bedroll, instantly falling asleep.

Hercules was not so lucky, he had a hard time falling asleep, as he watched her. 'Gods I love her. If only she didn't love Gabrielle. Not that Gabrielle is bad or anything. She's good for her. I'm just glad I got to be with her one last time." He sighed and laid down.

+++

Morning came too quickly for Gabrielle. She looked around expecting to find Xena but didn't. She sighed and stood up. Dressing, she went to get breakfast. The room was loud and noisy but there weren't that many people here. She took a seat in the far back, against the wall and ordered her food.

The food came quickly and she ate in silence.

When she was done, she rose and walked outside and to the stables. She looked around expecting to see Argo and wasn't surprised when she didn't. She walked out and remembered a small lake she had seen earlier. She grabbed a towel from the inn and walked to it.

+++

The dip in the lake was exactly what she needed. She walked toward the Inn and heard a familiar snort.  Turning around, she saw Argo tied to a post. She ran to the mare and hugged her. "Oh I'm glad to see you."

"Oh, and I thought you'd be glad to see me."

She turned and moved into Gabrielle's arms. "I'm glad to see you, too." She looked up at Xena's face. "Hard trip?"

"No."

"Did you get things settled?"

"Uh yeah. Took care of the warlord. He won't be bothering anyone again."

"Wasn't as tough as he thought he was, huh?"

"Right."

"Xena, what's wrong?"

"Why?"

"You seem upset."

"No, I'm fine."

"You can tell me."

"I can't, you'll hate me."

"Never."

"Wait until after I tell you before you say that." She pulled Gabrielle towards the Inn and to their room.  Sitting her on the bed, she paced back and forth trying to figure out how to tell Gabrielle. "You know I love you right."

"Right."

"And that I wouldn't purposely do anything to hurt you, right?"

"Right."

"Well I have. While Hercules and I were after Ardis, we had a bit of a problem."

"Is he okay?"

"He's fine."

"Then what happened?"

"Sure you want to know?"

"Probably not, but you seem like you need to get this off of your chest."

"I do. I hate to do it, but I need to tell you the truth."

Gabrielle felt a lump form in her throat. "I'm listening."

"I...uh...well I didn't plan on it but I....." She looked at Gabrielle's eyes. "I slept with Hercules."

Gabrielle felt her heart jump. "You what?"

"I slept with Hercules. I didn't mean to and I didn't plan on it. I'm so sorry, I know you can never forgive me." She got on her hands and knees in front of Gabrielle. "I'm sorry. So so so so so sorry. I know you hate me...." She was interrupted when Gabrielle put a finger over her lips.

"Can you promise me that it won't happen again?"

She nodded.

Gabrielle felt a tear slid down her cheek and pulled Xena into a hug. "I forgive you. Just don't do it again."

"Thank you." She held her tight. "I can't forgive myself, but I'm glad you don't hate me."

"I told you that I never could. It took me years to figure out how much I loved you. I'm not letting you go just because you made a mistake. I love you and I always will. Just don't do it again. It hurts." She felt Xena nod.

They sat holding each other for what seemed like forever.

Gabrielle pulled away. "Xena."

"What?"

"Show me you love me."

Xena looked at her and smiled. "Glad to." She pushed Gabrielle down on the bed.

+++

Hercules walked into the tavern and spotted Iolaus.  "Hey."

"Hi Herc, you get things settled?"

"Yep."

Iolaus nodded. "I ordered some food. Have some."

"Thanks." He grabbed a roll.

"Something wrong?"

"No, why?"

"You look stressed."

"I'm fine."

"Come on Hercules, I've known you long enough to know when something is wrong. Tell me."

"I had a few problems out there."

"Like what?"

"I don't want to go into details."

"So? Do it anyhow."

"I slept with Xena."

"You're kidding."

"I wish I was. I couldn't control myself and...."

"But she was willing?"

"Yes, she was. That's the problem."

"I don't see a problem."

"Iolaus, Gabrielle. Remember her?"

"Oh yeah. Sorry."

"I got her in trouble with her and if Gabrielle never forgives her, I'll never forgive myself."

Just then Gabrielle came into the room. Hercules looked up and groaned. "Speak of the devil."

Iolaus turned and saw her. "Hey, over here."

Hercules hit his head on the table.

She sat down. "Iolaus, Hercules." She smiled.

Hercules looked up at her. "I'm sorry." He started before she had a chance. "It wasn't her fault."

Gabrielle smiled. "Thank you, but we've worked things out. It's okay, just don't let it happen again." She poked him in the chest. "I mean it."

Hercules actually saw the power behind those eyes. She meant what she said. "I won't. As a matter of fact, we're leaving right after breakfast, so you don't have to worry about us anymore."

"That's good." She stood and walked out.

Hercules let out a breath.

"You better watch it, she looks for real."

"Lets go." He stood and walked out the door, followed by Iolaus.

+++

Xena opened her eyes and looked around. "Gabrielle."  She sat up and saw her walk in the room. "Where did you go?"

"To talk to Hercules."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, I think I scared him a bit."

"You did?" She smirked.

"He suddenly had to leave town." She laughed and heard Xena join in. "Anyway, I don't think I have to worry about him, but I do need to worry." She saw Xena look at her. "Hey, I know how many men would kill to get a chance with you. They'll have to go through me of course." She tried to look dangerous, but it didn't stay and she started to laugh again.

"Men everywhere beware."

"Not just the men, Xena."

Xena smiled. "Yeah." She laughed. "So are you gonna come here or do I have to come and get you?"

"Hmm, tough choice."

Xena stood and picked the bard up, throwing her over her shoulder and threw her down on the bed. "I pick option two." She laid her body across Gabrielle's and sighed at the feel of it. "Now, shall we play a little game now?"

"What did you have in mind?"

"Well, I got a few more strawberries, lemons, grapes, and honey." Her eyes shined dangerously as her eyebrow arched.

"I'd love to." She pulled Xena down for a kiss.
