Part 2
Xena took a swipe at her but Gabrielle moved out of range.
The healer handed Xena a bag of herbs. "Make sure you use these. They will ease the pain and make the hand heal faster."
Gabrielle looked at the bag. "She heals quickly anyhow."
The healer nodded and watched them walk out.
"So now what? How can we go to the town if you can't fight."
"We can go. No one will know unless we tell them."
"But you can clearly see the color, Xena."
Xena smiled and slipped a leather glove on each hand, wincing when she covered her left. "Now they can't."
"Its a good thing that isn't your right hand that's broken."
"Yeah, this way at least I can still swing my sword." She smiled.
"So where is this town?"
"Ten miles." She looked around and pointed in front of them. "That way."
A group of riders approached them. Xena turned to get a look at the leader and smiled, recognizing the man. "Baaras."
The man jumped down from his horse and extended his arm. "Xena. Been too long."
"Seven years." She shook the offered arm.
"Well the years haven't changed you, you still look...." His eyes looked over her form. "Great."
"I try."
"Believe me, you don't have to try. You could walk around with mud covering your whole body and you'd still look delicious." He laughed at her raised eyebrow. "So what brings you here?"
"Heard there were some new slaves on the market."
It was then that he noticed Gabrielle. "What's wrong with this one?"
"Nothing. I just want more."
"Oh, and what for may I ask."
"You may not."
He rubbed his beard and looked up at his men. "Meet Xena."
It appeared that they had already noticed her by their smiles and gazing looks.
Xena turned to Gabrielle and winked.
"So..." Baaras looked around them. "...since we seem to be going the same way, care to join us."
"No thanks, I can handle myself."
"I'm not saying you can't but I would like to talk about the old days."
Gabrielle's shudder was not missed by Xena who bit her tongue.
"Very well, we'll go along."
Baaras grinned, jumping on his horse. "Excellent."
They reached Sybaris as the night closed in.
Xena led Gabrielle to an Inn and ordered a room and some food. Taking Gabrielle up to the room, she sat her down. "Okay, do you remember how to act?"
"Yeah, no talking, I obey you, I don't fight with anyone, no looking anyone in the eyes. Have I missed something?"
"What will you call me?"
"Mistress."
"Yes, and where do you sit?"
"On the floor."
"Good. Do you obey others commands when they ask you to go get food?"
"No, just yours."
"Good, you have this down." She saw Gabrielle stand. "Gabrielle."
"Hmm."
"No more stripping."
***
"So Xena. What have you been doing since we last met?"
"You know, just having fun."
Barras laughed. "You always seemed to do just that."
She smiled. "Its so much fun to be bad."
He leaned forward. "And I know you are so good at it."
"Do you?"
He sat back in his chair. "I do." He looked over at Gabrielle. "Did she disobey you?"
Xena looked at him confused.
"The bruises?"
"Oh those. Yes, tried to run off on me."
Gabrielle's smile was hidden from view.
"Hmm, I'd be careful. I wouldn't want to hurt that face."
"Oh I wouldn't want to damage her either."
He smiled and looked Gabrielle's form over. "She is young, but firm. You keep her working out."
"I exercise her myself." She smirked.
"Mmm hmm." He took a drink from his cup.
"I don't see a slave around you."
"She died."
"Oh?"
"Well I didn't kill her so don't look at me that way. She got sick."
"Sorry."
He shrugged. "Don't be. I was going to get another one anyway, so it just gives me a chance to do so."
Xena controlled her remark. "I see." She grabbed a grape from the plate and held it down to Gabrielle who took it into her mouth, sliding her tongue around Xena's fingers.
Baaris saw this. "I see you have her trained."
"She does what I like." She held out another grape.
"So I take it you wouldn't be getting rid of her anytime soon?"
"Why? Interested?"
"Actually yes."
"Well, how about a little show."
Gabrielle's head popped up and she started to panic when Xena looked down at her.
"Go dance."
Gabrielle remained silent.
"Now."
Gabrielle stood and looked around at the people at the table then walked towards the stage.
Xena sat back in her chair and smiled as she watched Gabrielle slowly climb up onto the stage. Standing up, she grabbed a mug from a passing tray and walked towards Gabrielle. "Drink this," she whispered.
"Xena, what are you doing?"
"I need the distraction. Get someone talking."
Gabrielle nodded and took the mug, drinking it all the way down.
"Don't worry Gabrielle. You aren't dancing for these pigs, just imagine me, its just me in here watching. Dance for your warrior." She smiled warmly and walked away.
Gabrielle felt confidence serge through her with the fact that Xena wanted her to dance for her. The music started and she swayed to the beat.
Xena watched her and leaned forward to Baaris. "So what about these slaves?"
He turned towards her. "We'll go take a look at them in the morning." His eyes were on Gabrielle once again. "She's wonderful."
"Yes I know."
"Interested in selling her?"
"No."
"She that good."
"Oh yes, I couldn't part with her for any amount of money."
He turned towards her and just missed the emotion that filled and left those eyes. "I see."
She leaned back against the wall once more and stretched out her legs, smiling when his attention turned to her. "Problem?"
He smiled. "No problem at all." His hand ran down her legs gently. "Soft."
"Of course."
"I bet your soft all over."
"Only one way to find out."
He smiled. "Indeed." His hand trailed up to rest at her thigh.
She removed it and sat up straight as the music stopped.
Gabrielle walked towards them and sat down at Xena's side.
Xena saw the pleased look on Gabrielle's face and looked over at Baaris. "How does one get to these slaves?"
"Have to have contacts."
"And I take it you do."
"Yes. If you want a slave I can get you in."
"That would be great."
He looked up into her blue eyes and licked his lips. "Care to go take a walk, Xena."
"No." She took a drink.
"Oh I insist."
She looked up and leaned forward. "Why would I want to do that?"
"I think I have some useful information for you, but I'm not saying a thing in here. Too many ears."
She looked around the room, then stood up.
Gabrielle watched them walk away and turned her gaze to the floor once more.
Xena walked a few steps outside then turned around. "Okay, talk."
He smiled.
Xena watched him calmly walk to her. "What are you up to?"
He said nothing.
She turned back to the tavern. "If you aren't going to talk then I'm leaving."
"No."
"Excuse me."
"I said no."
She walked forward.
"What is your problem Xena? Worried about your little slave?"
"Why do you say that?"
"Why are you in such a hurry to get back in there to her?"
"I don't want to lose her, she's a good slave."
"Is that all it is?"
"Yes." Her face turned hard and her eyes cold.
He fidgeted a bit. "Just wait a second. My boys just want to talk to her." He saw her look to the tavern again.
Gabrielle laid her head back towards the wall and closed her eyes. She felt someone walk in front of her and opened her eyes, expecting Xena but instead saw a tall man.
"My my, what do we have here?"
She stood and was pushed back down.
"No. You stay there."
She saw two other men come up behind the first. "Wha...."
"Shh."
She stood and wasn't pushed down this time.
The first man looked her over. "Nice."
One of the other men walked forward. "Where's your Mistress Xena, hmm?"
She pulled all the fear out of her eyes and stepped back against the wall. Turning her head, she saw the door not far from her. Turning back to the men she smiled and walked forward.
They stepped back, giving her room to walk forward.
"I'm sure we can settle this nice and calmly."
One smiled. "I'm sure we can." He put the knife down on the table and walked forward.
A man came from somewhere behind the three and walked in front of them. "She's mine. Baaris said so. Me first." He grabbed for her and pulled her forward against him. He turned her around and trailed his hands down her body.
As he bent to grab something, Gabrielle took the opportunity to wiggle out of his grasp.
He grabbed the knife and held it to her throat as he pushed her up against the wall. "Where do you think you are going?"
She kneed him in the crotch and spun out of his grasp again.
The other three grabbed for her but she flew right by them.
Running for the door, she saw that it was blocked by a big man.
Another man grabbed her around the waist and picked her up.
She was thrown onto the floor and sat up with a wince. One came at her and she kicked him away. She received a slap across her already bruised cheek. She tried to stand up but was kicked down again. Another slap came to her face and she was in pain after that.
Grabbing her face, she just looked away and stopped fighting.
One man smiled and lunged for her but drew back. He turned and the other men could see a dagger handle sticking out of his chest. He fell to the ground.
The other men, who were cowards after all, fled the scene.
Gabrielle raised herself up and pulled the knife out of the man. Wiping it off, she placed it back at her thigh strap. Looking up at the door, she could see Xena standing there against the frame with a smile on her face.
***
"That was something back there."
Gabrielle turned to her. "Yeah I know I shouldn't of but I....."
"Hey." She grabbed Gabrielle's chin and lifted. "Don't worry about it. A slave of Xena's would be expected to know how to fight. Everyone liked it."
"What about Baaris?"
Xena turned away.
"What about him, Xena?"
"I took care of him."
Gabrielle looked away.
Xena stared at the bruises and leaned forward, placing soft kisses all over Gabrielle's cheek. "I know it doesn't help, but I'm sorry I wasn't there."
"Its not your fault."
"Yes it is." She ran her palm lightly over the marks. "I hate it when anyone hurts you. If I ever see those men, I'll kill them."
"No Xena. I'm fine. I'm still alive, they didn't hurt me."
"Oh no? What are these?"
"Well okay, just a bit. At least I'm not bleeding, no broken bones." She shifted. "One sore bottom though."
"Bruise there huh. That's the worse."
"I know. On a cheek I can handle. An arm or a leg, but a bruise on the butt is the worse thing you can have." She laughed.
"Go take a nice warm bath and that should help a little."
"Good idea." She stood. "Wanna join me?"
Xena was up in half a second.
***
"I still don't know where the slavers are."
"Yes, I know that but we can find out another way, can't we?"
"I'll have to find some way." Xena sat down on the furs, near the fire.
Gabrielle walked to her and kneeled, rubbing Xena's back. "We'll find them." She laid her head down on Xena's shoulder.
"Its not that easy, Gabrielle."
"I know that, Xena."
Xena moved away from Gabrielle's side and stood, starting to pace. "I would of had it if that whole thing down stairs hadn't of happened."
"You always have something go against you, don't you."
"Yes. Almost had him in my grasp if he hadn't of tried to hurt you."
Gabrielle stood. "Saying this is my fault?"
Xena turned. "I wasn't saying that."
Gabrielle looked away and sat on the bed to undo her boots. "That's what you were thinking wasn't it."
"No."
She shook her head and threw a boot, unlacing the other one.
Xena watched her for a minute, then walked to sit next to her. "Gabrielle look at me." She waited. "We are just a bit frustrated at how things are going. Lets try to control our tempers."
Gabrielle shook her head. "Fine." A hand was placed at her shoulder. "I'll try Xena."
Xena leaned her head down on Gabrielle's shoulder and felt the laugh from Gabrielle. "What is that for?"
"Nothing, its just that I've never seen you this......soft."
"Oh? I should think you've seen me this way plenty of times."
"Not this much." She stroked the head at her shoulder. "I like it."
***
"Thirty dinars. Will anyone give me thirty dinars for this lovely
woman." The man turned the woman around. "Twenty five."
Xena turned away from the display and looked around at the other set ups. "Gabrielle, over there."
Gabrielle turned her head to see a group of woman tied together against a pole. "Look like simple villagers. Are they the ones we're after?"
"I think so. Come with me and be absolutely quiet while I find out."
A man halted their way to the women. "May I help you."
"Just checking on some new slaves."
The man looked her over. "Oh and who might you be?"
"Xena."
His eyes widened. "Xena hmm." He smiled. "Proceed." He watched them walk past him.
Xena leaned down to Gabrielle's ear. "Talk to them and find out what you can while I talk to the owner." They parted.
Xena walked up the stairs to see a man sitting down on the chair.
He saw her and smiled. "Whatever you want, its yours."
She smiled. "I'll take you up on that you know."
He sat up. "Please sit. Tell me your....wishes."
She sat down and crossed her legs. "I wish to know where those new slaves are from."
"Why?"
"Need to know the history on a slave if I want to buy one."
He looked her over. "Got them from a little village. Can't remember the name. Interested in one?"
"Yes I am."
"Which one?"
"Don't know. Which is best?"
"Well what do you like?"
"Want a strong worker."
He reached and handed her a glass as he poured some wine. "And?"
She smelled the contents then took a drink. "Just that."
"Got a name?"
"Xena."
He smiled even more. "Xena. I've heard of you."
"Most have."
"Heard of your great conquest on Perria."
"That was some time ago."
"Yeah, well its hard get some news here." He looked her over once more.
"Want to keep your eyes?" She saw him straighten up. "Then I suggest you keep them off of me."
"My dear you are in no situation to make demands." He smiled.
She had a dagger to his throat quicker then he could blink. "Oh? Care to rethink that."
He swallowed. "I seem to have you mistaken."
"Seems so." The dagger was removed. "If you heard of me as you say, you'd know that I could kill you sooner then you could call for your goons."
He shifted in his seat. "I believe you would too."
"Your smarter then I thought."
"Lets get down to business then, what do you want? How many and who?"
"All of them."
His brows raised. "That's a lot of money."
"No, you'll give them to me for free."
"My dear, I'll have guards here so fast you couldn't......"
"Not if you want to live." Her hand was at her sword and saw him go for his. "I wouldn't."
He drew back and turned to look at the slaves. "What if I refuse?"
She smiled fiercely and he took a breath. "Don't make me say it. You know my reputation so don't push me."
"Very well. Take them, but I don't think you'd get very far."
"Oh? And how do you propose to hold that?"
"I'd have so many men after you."
"I'm not that easy to follow."
"Believe me, I'd find a way."
She raised a brow. "Nice try." She stood and turned to walk to the stairs, but turned. "I'm taking them and if you try to stop me, you won't have to worry about taking command of any army again."
He stayed in his seat as she walked down.
Grabbing her dagger, she sliced through the cords, holding the slaves.
Gabrielle looked at her confused. "What are you doing? You can't just take them?"
"Watch me." She turned to Gabrielle. "Trust me."
"You saying that he won't have someone come after you."
"Oh I know he will."
***
They camped off in the woods, shortly after sunrise.
Gabrielle made sure the women were comfortable and fed, then told them stories.
Xena made sure to keep her senses on alert. She knew that Alton would come after her and she wanted to make sure she was prepared. Picking up the sound of hoof beats, she signaled to Gabrielle then disappeared into the darkness.
Jumping up into the trees a ways from camp, she watched for whoever to come to her.
She didn't have to wait long. Three horses came into view shortly and she watched them head towards her camp. Jumping down she followed them closely and quietly behind.
They saw the fire from the path and could see Gabrielle and the women. Stopping they looked around for Xena.
"Looking for me?"
They turned and drew their swords as she drew hers.
The fight began.
Gabrielle heard the clang of metal and turned her head to see Xena fighting the men. Taking count of how many there were, she sat back and watched, knowing full well that Xena could handle it.
She took a look at the women and saw that they appeared to be scared. "Don't worry, she can handle it." As she said those words, she heard a gasp from one of the women and turned her head to see the warrior go down.
She had her hand on her staff in one second and was heading towards Xena. "Xena." She pulled the little arrow out of her back and smelled drugs. Putting it down she heard footsteps behind her. Turning around, she was kicked backwards. She saw a dark figure standing over her before everything went black.
***
When she came to the first thing she noticed was the blinding pain in her face.
She took a sense of her surroundings before opening her eyes, as Xena had once
told her. She could hear faint trickling of water, and as far as she could tell,
arms were bound together, but she was sure they weren't tied to anything.
Opening her eyes, she looked around and saw that she was in some kind of cell. Turning her head to the left, she saw Xena lying down on the ground. She was tied as well, both her hands and her feet were bound.
She pulled herself to stand and moved over to Xena. Kneeling again, she gently pushed Xena. "Xena. Hey, come on wake up."
Xena stirred a bit, but didn't wake.
Gabrielle looked around them again then bent, placing a soft kiss on Xena's lips. She smiled when she felt those lips responding. She pulled back to see Xena's eyes open. "Hi."
Xena smiled and looked around them. "Where are we?"
"Don't know."
Xena sat up and noticed that she couldn't move her arms or legs. "Untie me."
Gabrielle fumbled her fingers around till she had Xena's hands free, and let her untie her legs. "Now me." She was soon free.
They stood up.
Xena looked around the cell trying to figure something out. "What happened?"
"I don't exactly know. I saw you fall and that you were drugged. I was kicked and I woke up here."
"Did you see anyone that looked familiar?"
"I don't think so."
Xena looked away again and heard footsteps stop at their door.
It was opened and a woman came in.
Xena glared. "Mili, what is the meaning of this?"
"Oh Xena. Poor thing." She turned to Gabrielle. "And you, I almost felt sorry for you. You two were quite good actresses. Almost had me believing that you were still a warlord while Gabrielle was your little slave. Novel approach, way to go." She laughed.
"How did you figure things out?"
"It was easy, Xena. I studied you two without you knowing. The looks, the touches, come on did you think anyone was that stupid?"
Xena looked away. "So why this?"
"I had to stop you somehow. Couldn't have you messing up my plans, now could I?"
"Plans?"
"Oh Xena, for someone that is known for her brains, you really are quite stupid aren't you?"
Gabrielle stepped forward. "The slaves?"
"She's the brains of this pair huh. Yes Gabrielle, the slaves. I own them and I intend to use them."
Xena stepped in front of Gabrielle. "For what?"
"Now if I told you that, what would be the fun? You'll learn soon enough, I'm sure." She laughed and walked back out, the door shutting after her.
As she walked down the hall, they could hear 'Tie them up. And make sure you do it right this time'.
***
The door opened a few hours later and Mili walked in.
"How are my favorite slaves doing?" She walked to Xena. "Hmm?"
Xena glared at her.
"Aw Xena, I wouldn't be doing that." She raised up and and yanked down on Xena's broken hand smiling when she saw the warrior clench her teeth together. "Oops." Xena still glared at her. "You just don't learn do you." She pulled the hand and slammed it against the wall.
Xena bit her lip, drawing blood but would not call out.
Gabrielle pulled against her restraints. "Leave her alone, please."
She turned. "Poor Gabrielle." She walked to her. "Did she promise her love to you too? I bet she did huh?" She looked at the warrior. "Is she just another conquest?" She turned to Gabrielle. "No, I don't think so. This one is for real isn't she Xena? Pity I have to kill her." She saw Xena raise her head. "Don't worry, you can watch." She laughed. She ran a hand down Gabrielle's arm. "So soft. My offer still stands, Gabrielle. Forget her and come with me."
Gabrielle looked her in the eye and spit in her face.
Mili laughed and wiped it off. "Is that a no then? Shame." She backed up. "You two should say what you have to to the other, because in the morning.....well lets just say neither of you will be able to talk again." She laughed and left the cell.
Xena turned her head to look at Gabrielle and saw her looking at her. "You okay?"
"Me? Am I okay? Xena, what about you? Your hand?"
"I'm fine. Doesn't hurt that much." She moved and let out a noise as the movement moved her hand. "Maybe not."
Gabrielle pulled against the chains. "Xena if I could I'd get us out of here."
"I know you would. I just wish I could......" She stopped.
"What? Could what?"
She took a deep breath. "Could hold you one last time." She turned away hating her weakness.
"Xena look at me." She did. "I would give anything to hold you one last time. Don't feel bad for wanting that too."
"Love you."
"Love you more."
***
"So what do we do?"
"Take the women to the cave."
"And?"
"And restrain them. Don't make me go over this again."
The man stepped back. "It will be done." He left the tent.
"I'm surrounded by idiots."
A man came in. "She's here."
"Send her in."
A woman walked in and stood before her. She wore a long black robe with the hood pulled back, showing her light blonde hair. "You called for me."
Mili walked forward. "Yes. Is he ready?"
"Yes."
"Good. Prepare for the services."
The woman walked out leaving Mili in silence.
***
She felt the cold water hit her face and woke up with a jump, to see Mili
standing in front of her. "What do you want?" The sting of the slap to
her face turned her head to the side.
"You don't speak unless I say so."
Gabrielle glared at her and again received a slap.
"You learn slow don't you?" She smiled. "Now, are you hungry?"
"Yes."
"Good." She unhooked the chains and watched Gabrielle fall to the floor. The plate was set down in front of her and Mili walked out.
Gabrielle raised her head slowly and looked around the cell. "Xena."
***
"Wakey, wakey Xena."
Her head raised as her eyes slowly opened.
"Aw, that's better. I went to see your friend."
"If you hurt her I'll......"
"You'll what? I'm not sure you have realized this, but Xena, you are chained to a wall. What are you gonna do?"
Xena didn't move.
"That's what I thought." She walked closer. "What? No more threats." She yanked Xena's face up to meet hers. "Where's the fire I love in you?" She wiped the spit off of her face. "Stupid." She took a step back and looked at her prize. "Mmmm, I do like that body. Soft under my fingers...."
"In your dreams."
"Yes, in my dreams, and in reality." She walked forward and slammed Xena's head against the wall, smiling with the grunt. "Oops." She laughed.
"You're insane."
"And you are irresistible." Her eyes lowered again.
"Stop that."
"No." Her hands moved to Xena's shoulders and down her arms, till they each held a good piece of warrior. She squeezed and pinched the soft breasts in her hands.
"I'll kill you for that."
"Yeah right." She slid off a strap and then the other until the flesh was exposed. She lowered her head and bit a nipple.
Xena moved from her grasp.
Mili smiled and grabbed hold of Xena's hips, pulling her to her.
"Planning on raping me huh? Is that the big plan?"
"No, just a spur of the moment thing."
"I see. Now you had your fun, go."
Mili trailed her hands down to Xena's hips. "Not yet I haven't." She kneeled in front of Xena, pulling the shift higher.
"Don't even think about it."
"Who do you think is in command here, Xena?" She kissed the soft stomach and trailed her tongue around the hairs. "Soft Xena."
A loud bang hit the door.
"What?" She rose and slid the straps back on Xena's shoulders.
"We have a situation."
"Handle it."
"Can't."
"I swear, no one here can think for themselves." She trailed a finger down Xena's arm. "I guess I'll have to play with you later." She walked to the door and looked back.
Xena glared. "Don't worry I won't go anywhere." Her voice was all sarcasm.
***
Gabrielle jumped as the door opened. "Where's Xena?" She was slapped.
"Have you forgotten so soon? I see you ate all the food. Stand against the wall." She attached the chains. "Better. You may ask your question now."
"Where...." Her voice cracked and she stopped to clear her throat. "Where is Xena?"
"Gone." She saw the confusion in Gabrielle's face. She saw Gabrielle pull at the chains to get comfortable. "Uncomfortable my dear? Too bad." She laughed. "I had a bit of time and went to see your Xena. She does look good in chains. Tell me Gab's did she fuck you too?" She laughed at Gabrielle's glare. "Is that a yes? I bet she did. Those strong hands running down your skin. That long tongue...." She stopped to take a breath. "Well I'm sure you're aware of her many talents." She walked forward. "I am releasing you, I have new plans and they don't involve you." She walked closer. "But I'm not going to let you go until later." She looked down Gabrielle's body.
Gabrielle squirmed under the stare.
Mili smiled. "Problem?" She moved till she was right in front of her and closed her eyes, taking in Gabrielle's scent. "You smell good."
Gabrielle turned her head away.
Mili yanked it back. "No. I'm in control here. Not you." She let it go and licked her lips. "Perhaps I should have a little fun with you."
Gabrielle glared and was slapped again.
"I told you to stop that." She brought a knife into view and sliced through Gabrielle's shift. Putting the knife away, she tore the rest off, till Gabrielle stood just in her breeches. "My goodness." Her hands were at the bards breasts in an instant. "Maybe I should keep you, then." She hit her hips against the bards and smiled as she bent to take a breast in her mouth.
"XEEEENNNNNAAAA."
***
Xena's head jerked up at the sound. "Gabrielle." She looked around her
cell and frantically pulled at the chains holding her. "I'm coming."
She pulled harder and heard the metal giving. Looking up she saw the chains had
broken on one wrist. She pulled at the other one. "I'm coming."
The door opened and she raised her hand as it was before, trying to act like nothing had happened.
Mili walked in and smirked as she looked at Xena. "Something wrong?"
Silence.
Her eyes traveled to the chains. "Think I'm dumb?" She pulled Xena's hand down. "How did you manage to do that?" Her mouth dropped as she saw the chain. "You're stronger then I thought."
"You knew my history."
"Yes, but I never expected this, that must be why he wants you."
Xena's head snapped up. "Who?" It was then that she saw Mili's hands. They were covered in dried blood. "Who's is that?"
Mili looked down at her arm. "Oh this, just a little bard I taught a lesson to."
Xena glared at her. "If you did anything to her, I'll kill you."
"Xena, Xena, Xena. Still making threats I see. I thought you would be happy that I took care of a little problem for you."
"Problem?"
"She slowed you down and made you soft. There's that fire." She stroked the soft cheek and glared when Xena pulled away. "No." She yanked it back. "You will do as I say." She kissed her and slapped her across the face. "Sweet dreams, Xena." She turned and walked out the door.
***
"Xena." The door opened. "Wake up." She stopped halfway in
as she saw the empty chains hanging on the wall. Turning, she blocked a punch
and kicked Xena's legs out from under her. "You would of had your strength
if you hadn't of destroyed my chains." She turned around. "Get in
here."
A woman walked in and shut the door after Mili left.
Xena moved away.
The woman held up her hand. "Don't be afraid, I'm here to help clean you. I mean you no harm."
Xena stilled.
The woman smiled and sat down the bucket of water and grabbed the rag. She dipped it in the water and held it up. "May I? I won't hurt you, I promise."
Xena saw the sweet face and smile and something inside of her told her to trust this woman, so she did.
The woman sat down and gently sat down the rag. "I need you to take that off please."
Xena raised the clothing over her head and took if off, setting it aside.
"I have a clean shift for you." She smiled again. "I'm sorry for all of this." She saw the cuffs on Xena's wrist and looked at the wall. "Oh my gods. Are you all right?" She grabbed Xena's wrists and looked them over. No cuts. She pulled a key out of her pocket and unlocked the cuffs, throwing them out of the way. She washed the wrists. "Can I have your name?"
"Xena." Her voice cracked.
The woman nodded. "Thank you."
"Have...." Her voice stopped.
"Take it easy." She handed her a cup of water. "Drink slowly." She watched her drink the water. "Now try."
"Have you seen.....a woman...t... She has blond hair, short."
The woman smiled. "Green eyes?"
"Yes." She turned away. "Is she dead?"
"No. Very much alive and well. She asked for you, but I had no idea you were here until now. I've been keeping an eye on her."
"Thank you."
"She is very special."
"Yes she is."
They exchanged a look.
"You love her? Have you told her?"
"Yes."
The woman nodded. "I'll do what I can to get you out of here."
"Thank you but nothing can be done."
"Might be surprised. If I had known you were here, I'd of been here earlier."
Xena shook her head. "You're here now."
The woman nodded.
"Do you know what she is doing?"
"Some. I don't think you'll like it though. Mili is well..."
"What? Tell me what you know, please."
She nodded. "I haven't heard it all but I heard a name."
"What name?
"Ares."
***
Mili yanked at the leash holding Xena. "Hurry up." They stopped.
"Stand here and shut up." She dropped the leash and walked away.
A woman walked forward and down the line of women where Xena stood. She looked at Xena and stopped. "This her?"
"Yes."
The woman nodded. "She is as he said." She looked her up and down. "Something is missing."
At that moment, Xena looked up, the fire in her eyes.
"There it is." She smiled. "She is gorgeous."
Mili stepped to the side. "Yes I know. So how does he want her?"
"Hmm?"
"Do we just throw her into the temple? How do we make sure we get the treasure?"
"Don't know. I know he wants her, didn't say how. But won't she escape if we just threw her in?"
"Yes."
"We'll tie her up."
Mili smiled. "When?"
"I'll ask him tonight." She smiled.
"What does he look like?"
"Tall dark and handsome."
"And?"
"And he is a god and my lord, end of discussion."
Mili frowned. "So now what?"
"We wait till I talk to him." She walked away and turned. "Keep her fed, and cleaned. He insists. No harm must come to her." She left.
Mili turned to Xena. "Why does he want you?" She laughed. "Then again who wouldn't." She grabbed the leash and dragged her away.
***
The temple was dark and silent as the priestess walked in and lit a huge black
candle. As she did this, all the candle lit at once.
She stood and walked to the throne, where she kneeled. "My lord, your priestess wishes a word with you."
Ares appeared with a flash of light. "Have you seen her?"
"I have."
"And?"
"She seems well. The fire is there as you described."
He smiled. "Soon I shall have my princess back." His eyes closed.
"My lord, if I may ask, what do you want her for. I mean besides the obvious."
"No, you may not ask. Just get her here tomorrow night. I'll have silk robe waiting. Bring her here to the bath. Then leave."
"And the treasure?"
"Tell her the treasure will be given as soon as I have Xena in my temple."
"And the slaves?"
"I'll tell you what to do with them tomorrow, now go."
She rose. "It will be done my lord."
He vanished and she walked out.
***
The woman visited Xena again.
"Have you found out anymore?"
"I have."
"And?"
"Your friend isn't here anymore."
"What?"
"She has been sent to her home."
"Potedia?"
"Yes."
"Safely?"
"Yes."
"And Mili's plans?"
"Ares wants you and Mili wants a treasure. She is going to trade you for it."
"When?"
"Tonight."
Xena lowered her head. "Do I stand a chance of getting out of it?"
"No." She sat down. "Just don't trust him."
"I know that."
"I doubt he would hurt you."
"Its not hurting me that I have a problem with."
***
The temple was lit up beautifully as they walked in.
The priestess met them halfway and grabbed the leash. "You may go Mili."
"But I wa..."
"Go."
Mili left.
The priestess unhooked the leash and collar. "Stupid woman." She rubbed Xena's neck. "You okay?"
"Fine, lets get this over with. Where is he?"
"He isn't here yet."
Xena looked around.
"Take the shift off and get in the tub."
Xena looked over at the bubbling tub and almost smiled. She could see a large table with food and drink laid across it. On a chair laid a dark red robe made of silk.
"There is a robe over there and bath oils in the water. Clean up and dress. He'll be here shortly." She turned and left.
Xena jumped as the temple doors banged closed. A cold draft hit her skin and she took off her shift and climbed in the warm water.
The aroma of cinnamon flowed through the air and she took it in. She snapped her head to her right and could see a figure standing in the shadows. "Ares."
He stepped into the light.
"So what is this all about."
"I'm being hospitable."
"Hospitable. Since when?"
He walked closer and saw her face. "She has hit you."
"I can handle it."
He reached for her face and she pulled away. "I won't hurt you." He saw her close her eyes as he touched her cheek.
A tingle spread through her face and looked up at him with confusion.
"I want you perfect."
She raised a hand to her face and didn't feel the scrapes. The bruises were gone too. She felt him grab her hand and a warmth spread through it as well.
"No one touches my warrior."
"I'm not your warrior."
"Yes you are. You just don't know it yet."
She rolled her eyes. "I will never be yours. How does it feel to know that?"
He was silent.
"I thought so. I'm clean can I go now?"
"No, you are mine now." He grabbed a bottle and walked behind her.
She turned and watched him.
"I won't hurt you. You should know that by now." He grabbed her shoulders and pushed her back around.
She jumped when she felt cold liquid on her hair.
He worked it into a lather and gently rinsed it out.
She was surprised at how gentle he was being. She turned to face him and saw his eyes. They were softer then she had ever seen them. "Why?"
"Because I had to have you."
She turned away.
He stood and looked at her. "Finish."
"I'm done."
"I'll clean you myself if I must." He smiled.
She felt her heart pick up but didn't know why. "I dare you to."
He grabbed a sponge and kneeled to her side. Reaching in the water, he grabbed her arm and ran the sponge down it.
She pulled away. "I was kidding."
"I wasn't." He grabbed her arm again. The sponge ran up her shoulder to her neck. He saw her shiver and smiled. 'Almost.'
"What is that cinnamin? Where is it coming from?"
"Why?"
"It smells good."
He smiled. "Being nice?"
She turned away and pulled her arm from his grasp. "I'm done."
He stood and grabbed a towel, holding it up for her.
"I can dry myself."
"I know." He didn't move.
She stood out of the water and saw his eyes lower to her wet body. She smiled and stepped into the towel. "So why did you bring me here?"
"Company."
She looked at his face. "Company? You have your followers."
"I want your company."
"I don't want yours."
He smiled at the fire in her eyes. "I do love that fire in you." He pulled her close.
She pushed him away. "No." She moved back away and sat on a chair.
He looked down to see the towel slip from her knee, exposing her thigh. "For someone who doesn't want me, you do a fine job of acting like you do."
She looked down at her thigh and covered it up. "Sorry."
"Don't be sorry." He walked to her.
She raised a leg and held it a his chest, making him stay away. "No."
He smiled as he looked down her leg. He tilted his head and smiled as he saw that he could see under the towel as well.
She saw him smile and was about to pull her leg away when he grabbed it and pulled her up to a stand. "Let me go." She pushed against him, but he wasn't going to let her go."
"I'm not letting you go, now that I have you."
"You will never have me so let it go."
"I had you once I can again. I know all your secrets. I know you inside and out." His voice lowered.
She closed her eyes as she felt a shiver run through her body. Images filled her mind of the time they shared when she was a warlord. She opened them and heard a groan exit her throat. She tried to pull away from him even more.
"I know you Xena. Let your body have its way."
"Never."
He let her go, grabbing the towel off of her, and she backed up away from him. She saw the robe and grabbed it, slipping it on.
He walked forward.
The cinnamon rose.
She closed her eyes and took it in and shot them open again. She knew exactly what that cinnamon was for now. She looked around for and exit and couldn't find one. "Can't get me any other way, huh. Had to use an aphrodisiac?"
"You guessed it."
"I don't want you and never will. My will is stronger then your....."
"We'll see." With a thought he had her laying on a bed, her arms chained to the headboard.
She looked around. "AAARRREEESS."
"Yes my love."
"Let me go now."
"Or you'll what."
"Raping me is not going to make me come back to you."
"No, but it will make you come." He smiled. "I didn't intend to rape you. I want you begging me to take you."
"Don't count on it."
He slipped off his vest and walked forward. "Just enjoy it Xena. You'll like it."
She kicked at him.
He soon had ropes binding her legs. "There." He crawled on the bed and slid a hand up her thigh. He untied the belt at her waist and slid the robe open until he could see her flesh. "There it is." He bent and placed soft kisses along her stomach and ribs.
She found herself taking in a breath as a bolt of pleasure ran though her. "No."
"Yes." He laid down on her and untied the ropes to her feet, spreading her legs to lie in between. "Yes." He shifted his hips against hers and she groaned. "Told you you'd bed me."
"Let me go Ares."
"No." He kissed her neck, tongue running over the skin. A hand grabbed her breast and squeezed. "Let the resistance go. You can't resist the cinnamon, Aphrodite's strongest."
She closed her eyes as his hips moved against hers. "Oh gods." Her body was screaming for this to happen.
"Once I have you, you won't go back." He bit her neck and she groaned.
"I can't. I must fight you and th...." He stopped her by covering her mouth with his and didn't ask for permission to her mouth he took it as he forced his tongue in. Her teeth blocked him. "Let me in."
"No." She bit his tongue and he smiled. As he shifted his hips again, she gasped and he entered her mouth, his tongue battling hers.
She tried to pull away but found that she couldn't. He was too strong and her will was weakening. He let her go and looked down at her.
She looked up at him with desire in her eyes and then turned away.
"I told you." He disposed of their clothing with a thought and her chains then kissed her again. She didn't resist this time. He groaned at her surrender.
Her legs bent and wrapped around his waist. "Gods I shouldn't want you but I do." She pushed her hips up to his.
He smiled. "The feeling is very very mutual." He bent to take a breast in her mouth and sucked hard at the nipple.
She arched up her back and grabbed his hair. "Yes."
He knew he had her and moved off of her to lay on his back.
She groaned and looked over at him. "What are you doing?" She rolled onto her side.
He just smiled.
She licked her lips and rolled onto him, straddling his waist. She felt him under her and gasped as she slammed down onto his cock.
He groaned and grabbed her hips.
She rode him harder and faster. As his hold on her increased, so did her speed.
He closed his eyes and let all the sensations hit him as his orgasm took him. He felt her move off of him and groaned as he felt one more spasm. "Xena." His eyes opened. "Where are you going?"
She turned. "I'm hungry."
He rose and grabbed her, throwing her down on the bed, and laying over her. "I don't think so."
She flipped him over and smiled. "I do." She trailed kisses down his chest and bit his nipples hard.
He groaned as he felt her take him into her mouth. "Yes, Xena. Oh." He raised his head to see her head bobbing up and down.
She slid her teeth over his cock and heard him groan again. At that time, she pulled away.
He raised up and looked at her. "What are you doing?"
She smiled. "How does it feel?"
"Get over here." He grabbed her and flipped her onto her back then thrust into her.
Their cries mingled.
Her legs wrapped around him and pulled him closer, deeper.
"Xena, ohh, mmm." He brought her lips up to hers.
***
"Close your eyes."
She turned and closed her eyes. She felt her hair being lifted up and something placed around her neck. "What is..." She turned around to Ares. "What is it?" She tried to look down.
He held up a mirror. "A necklace."
She raised her eyebrows, and smiled. "Beautiful."
He held up another object. Her sword and leather. "I thought that you would like to be more comfortable."
"Thank you." She leaned forward and kissed him.
He saw a weird look come over her face. "What is it?"
"I..nothing." She grabbed her sword and chakrum and smiled. "Feels much better."
"A warrior isn't a warrior without her weapons."
"Don't I know that." She slipped off her shift and let it drop to the floor as she slid on the leather tunic. "Lace it for me."
"Pleasure." He helped her with the armor too. "Now, go kick some butt."
She turned and smiled. "I planned on it." She walked to the door. "Just not right now." She walked out.
***
As she stepped onto the path, she heard light splashing up ahead. Jumping off of
Argo, she quietly walked to the source. Brushing past some bushes, she saw a
woman taking a dip. Her back was to Xena and she seemed to be humming a tune.
Xena moved around the trees till she stood next to the water, hidden in shadows.
The woman was oblivious to her presence. She dunked under the water and rinsed
off. Xena stepped into the trees and left.
The woman turned around, her green eyes searched around. Walking out, she slipped into her shift and grabbed the staff as she headed out.
***
"Did you enjoy your walk?"
"Yes." She sat down and grabbed a mug of wine. Taking a drink, she closed her eyes.
"Where did you go?"
Her eyes opened. "Why do I have to tell you?"
"You don't." He stood behind her, rubbing her shoulders. "I don't like to see you troubled." He bent and kissed her shoulder.
"I'm not."
He moved her hair to the side and continued to kiss the skin.
She shrugged him off and stood. "Whole seduction thing is not necessary. Want me? Ask."
He smiled and stepped forward. "I want you."
"I know but ask."
"May I?"
"May you what?"
"May I fu....."
She stopped him by putting her fingers over his lips. "Yes." She replaced her fingers with her lips.
He pulled her against him then picked her up, carrying her away. He laid her down and undressed them both with a thought. He laid down and covered her body with his own. "I"m glad I have you at last."
She smiled. "I am well liked. Everyone wants me and I haven't had a complaint yet."
"Yet?"
She shrugged.
He spread her legs and laid between. "I just have to look at you and..." He groaned as she pushed her hips up to his.
"Wanna do this or do you want to talk?"
He raised up onto his elbows and looked at her. "You are beautifully...." He groaned again as she hit her hips against his again. "Stop that."
"Oh? I really can." She moved a bit and he laid down on her. "Or not."
He growled as his whole body covered hers.
"No Xena. Don't think about it." She grabbed the warriors hand and winced when Xena did and pulled her hand away. "Sorry." She turned it over and around. "Xena, its broken."
"I know."
"What happened?"
Xena raised her head and looked toward the wall she had hit.
Gabrielle gasped. "Xena, why?"
Xena looked down.
"Why?" She raised Xena's head with her hand. "Please."
"I hit it."
"Well I know that. Why did you hit it?"
"So I wouldn't feel....."
"Go on. Feel what?"
She took a breath and looked away. "For you. I had a dream or whatever and......gods Gabrielle if you only knew what it was about." Her eyes closed.
Xena raised her hand and looked at it. She gasped as he took a breast in his mouth.
Gabrielle slid off the straps to Xena's shift and pulled it off as Xena's raised up her body. Throwing it to the floor, she ran her hands over that soft, supple flesh. "Gods how I've wanted to touch you like this." She bent her head and took a nipple into her mouth, sucking hard. Her tongue twirled around the hard pink pebble and she bit down not so gently.
He raised her hands up over her head and sucked at her neck.
Xena brought her hand up to cup Gabrielle's ass and pushed those hips against hers as she opened her legs, moaning when Gabrielle slid between. "Yes." She felt those warm lips at her neck, sucking hard and slow. "Marking me my love?"
"Yes, so everyone will know who you belong to."
She groaned and flipped him on his back, and straddled him.
He grabbed her hips and raised her up as he thrust into her.
She gasped and threw her head back as he raised up and sucked at her neck again.
"I have no problem leaving my mark on your beautiful skin, my love." She sucked harder till a purple X was left behind. "Now they will know who owns you."
"Its always been you, hasn't it?"
She groaned. "Yes, it has Gabrielle."
"What?"
"Hmm?"
"You said Gabrielle."
"No." She pushed her hips against his and he laid back down, grabbing onto her hips. She could feel the waves building and closed her eyes as she screamed. "GAABBBRRIIIEEELLLLEE." She heard it this time and pushed him away as she got up.
"Where are you going?"
"I don't know."
***
He walked in and saw her sitting on the window sill, looking out. "What are
you doing?"
She didn't answer.
"Xena."
"I'm just looking." She stood and walked to him. "You're a god. You know our pasts and memories. Tell me, who is Gabrielle."
"No one, just a friend of yours."
"A friend?"
"Just a friend."
"I screamed her name in passion and she's only a friend." She laughed.
"Yeah."
She rolled her eyes. "I don't believe you. Tell me what I want to know."
"No."
"Why?"
"Because I am the god and you work for me." He grabbed her and pushed her back against the wall.
"LET ME GO!"
"No." His body pressed into hers. "I should of known better then to try and tame you."
"I'm unbreakable."
"I know. But I'm not giving up. I will own you."
"Never. You can have me but you'll never own me." She turned away.
"I have you now that's all that matters."
She turned. "Don't you have a war to handle or something?"
"Trying to get rid of me?"
"Yes."
"At least your honest." He let her go and backed away. "Anything you need before I go?"
She shook her head.'
He nodded and grabbed his sword. He was about to leave, when.....
"Ares."
"Hmm?"
"I want some paint and a canvas."
It appeared by her. "Thanks."
He smiled and vanished.
She pulled the canvas to the window and grabbed a chair. She closed her eyes, to see the green eyes and soft face. Opening them again, she got to work.
***
Ares came back that evening. "Paint anything interesting?" He could
see the back of the canvas.
She was looking out the window. "I did."
"Can I see it?"
She set down her mug and stood, walking to the canvas. "You sure?"
"Yes."
She turned it around to show an exact painting of Gabrielle. "Just a friend huh." She walked closer. "Who is she?"
"No one."
"Then tell me this. How is it that I can recall every detail about her. Her face, eyes, smell." She closed her eyes. "I can even tell you how great she looks naked and how well her tongue is." She smirked.
"She's no one."
"Want me to leave?"
"No."
"Then bring her to me." She walked past him and left the room.
He looked at the painting. "As you wish."
***
Gabrielle entered the temple and looked around. She saw a table filled with food
and walked to sit down on a chair.
A door opened and she turned to see a dark figure standing in the shadows. "Who are you?"
The figure walked a few steps forward. "I think the question is, who are you?"
"Xena?" She stood up as Xena stepped into the light.
"So I guess you know me."
"Of course I do." She walked closer and stopped. This wasn't her Xena. "What happened to you?"
"Nothing."
Gabrielle looked around the room. "This is Ares's temple."
"Yes."
She looked at Xena. "You're with him?"
"Yes."
"Why? What happened? How did you get free?"
Xena was silent.
"Answer me."
Xena walked past her to the table and sat down. "Hungry?"
"Yes, but...."
"Then eat."
"Xena I..."
"EAT!"
Gabrielle sat down across from Xena.
"How do you know me?"
"We've been together for a few years....four actually."
"Together?"
"Something wrong with your memory?"
"Think I'd be asking questions if not."
Gabrielle looked away.
"I saw you swimming. I was watching you, couldn't look away." She leaned forward when Gabrielle looked up at her. "Tell me Gabrielle, did I ever fuck that sweet piece of flesh of yours." She smiled.
Gabrielle glared at her and looked away. "Yes as a matter of fact."
"Was I good?" She laughed. "No don't answer that. Of course I was."
Gabrielle stood.
"Where you going?"
"Home."
"Why? I haven't eaten yet." She stood. "Menu for dinner.......hot, raw, Gabrielle." She moved quicker then Gabrielle could breath and had her against her body. "I bet you taste good. I shall find out." She brushed her hand across the table, spilling all the food, and laid Gabrielle across it. She raised Gabrielle to sit and pulled the bard to her. "Wait." She pulled back. "Strip for me."
"No."
"Please. Strip for your warrior.....or else." She trailed her eyes down Gabrielle's form. "I want you naked and I want it now."
Gabrielle closed her eyes as her body started to respond to that soothing, seductive voice. "I won't." She felt Xena come up in front of her and the laces to her shirt being pulled. She tried to tie them back and her hands were grabbed and forced behind her back.
"I want you naked, and I always get my way. Do it or I will." She licked her lips. "I really want to do it."
Gabrielle opened her eyes and held in a groan as she saw the desire in those eyes. "I'll do it."
Xena stepped back and sat down.
Gabrielle took a few breaths. 'Its Xena, just pretend its your Xena. You are in a campsite undressing for her.' She unlaced the shirt and threw it to the floor. She could see Xena's eyes lower.
Xena stood and walked to her. "The skirt."
Gabrielle undid her belt and slid off her skirt, then the breeches.
Xena licked her lips and pushed Gabrielle's legs apart as she pulled her to the edge of the table. She groaned as she kneeled and lowered her face into Gabrielle's sex.
Gabrielle's hips jumped. "Oh gods." Her eyes closed.
Xena grabbed the bards ass and held her.
"Xena. Oh gods yes."
A door closed and they both turned to the source to see Ares.
"Oh I'm sorry am I interrupting? I hope so." He walked over to them. "Xena, what are you doing?"
"What does it look like?"
He glared at Gabrielle. "Let her go. I won't allow this."
"You won't allow this. Who do you think you are?"
He grabbed her to him and held her tight as he held her arms behind her. "I am the God of War and you are just a mortal."
"Then get over it and let me go."
"No." He squeezed her arms tighter.
Gabrielle moved from the table. "Let her go, I'll leave."
Xena pushed him away. "Don't you dare leave." She turned to Ares. "You have me isn't that enough?"
"No."
"I want her and I'm taking her."
"No."
"Yes."
"You're the only mortal who defies me."
"I'm the only mortal who has balls." She smiled. "Even the gods lack those." She saw his eyes turn dark. "Oops, mess with your manhood Ares."
She didn't see it coming. He laid a slap across her face that sent her flying across the room.
He walked to her. "Don't ever forget who I am. I can kill you in an instant."
"So do it." She stood up. "I'm tired of hearing how big and tough you are. Kill me, go on, or don't you have enough guts to do it."
He raised his hand, ball of fire glowing brighter.
She closed her eyes and waited, and waited, and waited. She opened them again. "Can't do it can you?" She stepped back. "I knew you couldn't."
He took a breath. "As much I would like to, I can't." He shrugged. "I can't live without you."
"How do I lift this....this...thing?"
He shook his head. "No, I'm not going to let you go just like that."
She glared at him. "Then let me do as I must."
He stepped back. "Fine." He was gone in a flash of light.
Xena turned to Gabrielle. "Did I say to get off that table?"
Gabrielle jumped back on and watched Xena walk closer. "Your face...."
"Is fine." She spread those legs again and buried her face in between.
Gabrielle closed her eyes.
Xena raised up, and plunged three fingers into the bard as she pulled her mouth down to hers.
Gabrielle took every ounce of self control she had and pushed Xena away as she stood from the table. Her body screamed at her but she didn't care. "I'm not doing this."
"Yes you are, get over here."
"No." She turned and ran only to be knocked down and rolled onto her back, Xena on top. "Let me go."
"No." She pulled Gabrielle's hands up over her head and smiled. "I want you and I will have you."
Gabrielle turned away. "Never."
Xena smiled and pulled Gabrielle to a stand. "Never say never." She picked her up and carried her to her room, throwing her down on the bed. She closed the doors. "Now, where was I?" She crawled on the bed and spread Gabrielle's legs. As she was lowering, she received a hard kick to her temple, throwing her to the side. She shook her head and looked at Gabrielle, who was at the door. "Its locked." She laid back down on the pillow. "You'll pay for that little....."
"Do what you will, but I'm not giving in to you."
"You did once."
"And it was wrong."
"Get over here."
"No."
"NOW!"
"NO!"
Xena rose and ran after Gabrielle. She got her in the corner and smiled. "Where you gonna go, Gabrielle?" She grabbed hold of her. "I got you now. Don't worry, I won't bite, unless you ask." She laughed and threw Gabrielle down onto the bed.
"No."
"Just give in, I'm your Xena."
"You are not my Xena. You are not her." She closed her eyes.
"Try and tell your body that." She spread those legs and laid between, grinding her hips against Gabrielle's hearing a groan. "See."
Gabrielle tried to shut out her body's reactions and the sound of Xena's voice. 'Not Xena, not Xena, not Xena, not Xena.' "Let me go."
Xena laughed. "I don't think so. Stop asking." She reached up and grabbed her leash and collar, holding them up so Gabrielle could see them. "I had to wear this. That was the deal. Me for the treasure. Mili wanted the treasure and Ares wanted me." She stood up. "I guess you know who won." She smiled. "Then again, why should I complain, he is a wonderful lover." She closed her eyes. "But, as my head tells me, so are you. I want to find out." She moved to a drawer and pulled out a harness, attaching the phallus. She turned to Gabrielle. "I'm going to take you, here and now."
Gabrielle tried to get away as Xena crawled on the bed.
"No." She yanked her back down and crawled on her. "Stay. Good bard." She laughed as she slipped into between her legs. Her hand moved to the soft wet hair and slid her fingers around. "So wet for me."
Gabrielle closed her eyes and clenched her teeth.
Xena smiled. "Yeah, try to pretend its not happening. I own you and you will never leave me." She thrust the phallus in and held onto Gabrielle. "Oh yes." She closed her eyes as the double ended phallus created sensations in her own sex. "Gods Gabrielle, you feel so good."
Gabrielle clenched her teeth tighter to keep from crying out. Her hips moved on their own and she couldn't stop them.
"Open your eyes."
Nothing.
"Now."
Nothing."
"Open them now."
Gabrielle opened her eyes and looked at Xena.
"There." She picked up her pace and saw Gabrielle close her eyes once more. "Give into it Gabrielle. You know you want to." She sucked at her neck, noticing a fading yellow X already there. Then she remembered and made a new X.
She felt Gabrielle's hips move against hers and she gasped. "Yes, oh yes, see....I told you. Ahhh." She closed her eyes and moved her hips with Gabrielle's. "Come for me. Scream my name."
No answer.
"Gabrielle." She stopped the phallus.
"Oh gods." She moved her hips to get to it but it didn't do a thing. "Xena please."
"Tell me." She slid it in and stopped. "How does it feel?"
"Ahhh...."
"Tell me." She pulled it out and pushed it back in. "Tell me Gabrielle."
"WONDERFUL. DON'T STOP."
Xena slammed the phallus into Gabrielle and they both came.
***
Xena rolled over and jumped as she hit something. She opened her eyes and looked
to her side to see Gabrielle sleeping peacefully. "Hey." She poked her
in the side.
Gabrielle made a noise and rolled closer to Xena, burying her head in the warriors shoulder.
Xena tried to figure her out and pushed her off of her. "Gabrielle."
"Hmm?" She opened one eye to see Xena. "Morning." She smiled and sat up, looking around. It was then that she realized that last night happened. She was in Ares's temple. She looked at Xena. This wasn't her Xena. Her smiled dropped. "What?"
"I'm going to go warm up. I want you gone when I get back."
Gabrielle stood. "What? Gone."
"Yeah."
"Well.w..what was last night."
"Last night was fun." She pinched Gabrielle's cheek and walked to the door. "I mean it." She walked out.
***
The temple floor was cold against her feet as she walked to get her clothes. She
pulled the robe tighter around herself and looked around. It was a beautiful
place in the day time, when you could see it.
She bent to grab her skirt, when something caught her eye. She straightened up and looked at the canvas. Walking to it, she turned it around and gasped. It was her. She looked around and then back at the painting.
***
She jumped as she heard the doors open and turned her head to see Xena come into
the room.
"Didn't I say to leave?"
"Yes you did."
"What? Can't find the door?"
She stood and clutched the sheet against her body. "No, didn't want to."
Xena smirked. "What's with the sheet?"
Gabrielle looked down at it. "Oh this, well it was warm in here." She dropped it and watched Xena's eyes drop.
Xena walked closer. "I think I'm glad you didn't leave." She stopped a few feet away.
"I was hoping you'd let me stay." She sat down and crossed her legs as she leaned back on her elbows. "Come and get it."
Xena's armor was off in seconds as she jumped on the bed. "I'm not one to refuse a treat." She rolled over, pulling Gabrielle on top. "Do what you want."
"Planned on it." She looked down at Gabrielle. "Xena."
"What?"
"..I..that is you...."
"Say it already."
She took a breath. "I'm trying."
Xena raised up and pushed her to the side. "What?"
"Do you have any fe...."
"What Gabrielle." She stood.
"Does Ares's darkness go all the way through you?"
"Meaning?"
"Do you care for me at all?"
She took a drink. "Lets not talk now." She slid off her boots and sat down. "Come here."
Gabrielle sighed and lowered to the ground, crawling towards her. "I'd love to please you."
Xena smiled.
Gabrielle slid her hands up the strong thighs and ran her nails lightly down, hearing Xena groan.
A flash surrounded the room. "I protest this."
They turned and Gabrielle moved behind Xena.
Xena stood. "What don't you like Ares? The fact that I'm with her or the fact that I prefer her."
He practically blew steam out of his ears. "Xena...."
"What?" She sat down on the bed. "What do you want, Ares?"
He turned to Gabrielle. "Get her out of here."
"No."
"Now or I'll...."
She stood. "You'll what? Don't make me laugh Ares. You couldn't hurt me. We already found that out."
He smiled. "You yes, but I would have no problems killing her."
Xena's eyes were pure ice.
"What's the matter Xena? You the one with a flaw, weakness. She that important."
She turned to Gabrielle. "Go ahead, kill her, I don't care."
He smiled. "I call your bluff." He raised a finger and stopped when Xena did nothing. He smiled and Gabrielle vanished.
Xena turned to him. "Where is she?"
"Why do you care?"
"I'm losing a great f..."
He interrupted her. "Here I am." He walked forward and pulled her to him, kissing her neck.
She pushed him away and walked out.
***
Gabrielle fell to the ground and rolled over. Her head was killing her and she
knew she had a bruise on her hip, from the fall. She stood up and looked around.
"Where am I?"
***
Ares walked into the bathing chamber and saw Xena, deep in bubbles.
"Relaxing?"
"Yes so go." Her eyes remained closed.
He sat down on the edge. "Why do you resist me, Xena?"
She opened her eyes. "Seemed like a good idea." She almost laughed at his face.
"Shall I get the cinnamon?"
"Do and I leave. You can't keep me here."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
She turned to him and glared. "How do you plan on keeping me here, then?"
"I have my ways."
"Care to share them with me?"
"No." He turned and walked away.
"Where you going?"
He smiled and turned back around. "To see a friend." He disappeared.
***
A flash of light appeared in front of her and she turned to get knocked down
onto the ground. She looked up to see Ares. "What do you want?"
"For you to die." He kicked her in the ribs and raised a hand to light a fireball. He raised it to throw, when she kicked his legs, sending him to the ground. He watched her run away. "You can run." He stood up. "But you can't hide.
***
The night came quickly and Gabrielle found herself deep in the woods. Her legs
were killing her and she had run out breath long ago, but didn't stop. She
couldn't.
She fell to the floor and looked up to see Ares standing over her. "Just get it over with."
"I love your will to live. I'll make it quick." He raised the fireball then put it out. "No, I think I'll kill you the old fashion way." He drew a dagger and grabbed her hair, pulling her up. "Now my dear, ready to die."
"Why do you want to kill me?"
"Because I finally got Xena back and you screwed things up."
She closed her eyes. She could feel the dagger press against her heart.
"NNOOOO." She heard a loud thump and opened her eyes to see Xena wrestling Ares for the dagger.
"Enough of this." He rolled her off and picked up the dagger. Smiling, he sent it flying towards Gabrielle.
Gabrielle closed her eyes and waited. She heard Xena cry out and opened them to see her lying down on the ground, in front of her. She kneeled at once and saw the dagger handle sticking out of her chest. "Xena." She pulled her onto her lap. "Why?" She looked up. Ares was gone.
Xena took a deep breath. "Because I love you. Even......under Ares's......spell I knew I did. I'm sorry but.......I couldn't let him...couldn't let him hurt you." She raised a hand to softly stroke Gabrielle's cheek. "Get....as far away......from here as you.....can. Go to the Amazons, they can protect you. He'll kill you." Her breath was coming in gasps.
"I know. You'll be okay."
She shook her head. "Gabrielle.....we have d....dealt with this kind....of..of thing. You know I'm dead." She closed her eyes.
"Wait." She shook her. "No."
Xena opened her eyes. "I remember it all. How I met you.....and loved you." She smiled. "At least I.....get to go.......as I always wanted." She coughed.
"How's that?"
"In your arms."
A tear slid down Gabrielle's cheek. "Don't leave me."
"I don't want to, but I.......couldn't let you....die. I couldn't live without you." A tear slid down her cheek.
"What about me? I can't live without you."
"Yes you can. You'll go on for me. You were always.....the stronger one." She smiled and closed her eyes.
"Xena. Xena."
No answer.
She pulled Xena to her and screamed into the night.
***
She entered the temple and walked to Xena's room, grabbing her things. She
passed a table and gasped when she saw the sword and chakrum. "Xena."
She laid down her hand and gently stroked the design along the circled blade.
She gathered the items in a bag and headed out.
"Lose something."
She turned to see Ares, a smug look on his face. She didn't hesitate as she dropped the bag and laid a punch across his face that was so hard it send him to the floor. She grabbed the bag and left.
***
The fire rose high as the wind picked up.
Gabrielle jumped as she felt something hit her shoulder. She turned to see Argo and gently patted the horses snout. "You never liked me before." She turned to the fire. "I know, I know." She closed her eyes as a tear slid down.
A hand laid down on her shoulder and she turned to see Ephiny. "Got your message." She turned to the flames. "She's really gone."
"Yes."
Ephiny walked forward and whistled.
Several Amazons came forth, bowing to place their swords around the fire. The design, X's all around. They rose and circled the fire as the music sounded.
Gabrielle stepped back and was pulled into Ephiny's arms and cried. "Thank you for coming."
"Always."
Gabrielle turned to the fire and raised a dagger. She turned her head to the sky as she cut off a braid and threw it into the fire, as she closed her eyes. 'I'll love you till I die. Till there is no longer a breath in my body. I'll live on as you wanted. To share with those around me. Tell them who you were and how you loved. I'll never be able to describe you completely. But if I close my eyes and tell them how you loved me they'll know. They'll know that deep down under the warrior, there lies a heart of a woman. A woman who has faults. Weaknesses. And feels pain. Under that heart of stone lies a heart of gold. You were so pure of spirit but you never believed it. You believed yourself to be a warlord who has made many mistakes. That is in the past and I love you for who you are now. Your past made you who you are today and whatever made you the way you are cannot be that bad. You are strong, courageous, and noble. I knew your heart and broke through the barriers you put up. You were strong but I was determined. I had you and held you. But I know that will never be enough. So I'll close my eyes and live for you. Live for you till we can meet again.'
