Part Five

Few days had passed since Alex had ruthlessly kidnapped Robyn from her apartment home to the place where Alex lived…at a huge Mansion on Rodesbury street. Moments within their arrival, Alex had forced Robyn to carry a symbol carved on her left cheek to show she belonged to Alex. It was bleeding heavily but Alex didn’t care. “You’ll live.” She said coldly.

Robyn had to adjust to the new lifestyle according to Alex. From now on, she couldn’t even do anything without permission and had to be within the presence of Alex or else she would be punished with a whip lash. She had to obey without question and treat Alex with extreme respect, and any hint of disrespect earned her a severe consequence like no dinner for a week. She sighed depressed; she was like a slave to Alex. Nothing would change that. She wished she had never gone to that bar...at all. None of this would’ve happened if she didn’t. But somehow, Robyn felt that it was somehow all supposed to happen.

     Right now, Robyn was sitting on the cushion that was placed on a floor next to an Asian table. She had been told to sit there and stay there until told otherwise. Alex had gone into the other room to discuss something with Aries and had left the door open with just a crack, so she could make sure Robyn wasn’t attempting an escape. She could hear the conversation just barely;

Have you done what I told you to do?”

“Yeah…I put Ake in charge. We’re pursuing the law enforcements next.”

“Good…then. I’m done with you. Go shit yourself.”

“…I’ve been meanin’ to ask something…” The low voice of a male was saying. “…Can’t we like…have it the way it was before…just you and me. Like before…after all I brought you back to this world.”

“Get lost. I don’t care what you did…besides you didn’t completely destroy Camille…I still feel her presence inside my body.”

    “But I…”

“I said get lost! I’m not interested…I never was. I told you before…you’re a toy used and useless!” Alex shouted. “Never are you to talk like that!” And a heavy thud was heard and then another. Robyn gulped, then suddenly the door opened wide and she could see that Aries was on the floor clutching his manhood. Then Alex came in view, kicking him aside, and walked straight towards Robyn. Aries grunted as he was being kicked in the side, and growled angrily. Alex crossed her arms, “Privacy, if you will.” And with that Aries left scowling.

“Ah…I’m really glad you know…everything’s going according to my plan.” She said. “So…is the food ready?”

“Yes.” Robyn looked at the marble floor. “It’s ready…just call for it and it will be here promptly…”

Alex was satisfied …within days she had broken in the new toy. She supposed that she had proved to Robyn that there was absolutely no hope at all…none. “All right then…”She snapped her fingers and within moments the food was all set out before them. “Eat up.” She ordered. Robyn picked up her chopsticks and helped herself to the food that Alex had placed before her. It was just some Chinese dishes and a glass of water.

Then when they had eaten to their content…there was just one more thing left and then dinner would be officially over. Robyn had been dreading this moment but knew she shouldn’t prolong the wait, so she held out her hand. Alex took it and with a smile, she sank her fangs into her vein. Robyn winced in pain and felt all the warmth disappear from her arm. But Alex didn’t stop and Robyn was becoming quite woozy and cold…she hoped Alex would stop soon. She hoped Alex wasn’t planning on killing her or turning her…

To Robyn’s relief, Alex pulled back, licking her lips. “Ahh…so sweet like honey and so thick of life.” She observed. Robyn suddenly felt faint and cold; she couldn’t stop herself from nodding off. She felt so tired…so tired her eyelids felt heavy like lead. She then dropped like a rock on the floor and Alex then slipped her strong arms under Robyn’s body and carried her to the bedroom. She gently laid the sleeping figure neatly on the right side of the silk lined bed. Then she climbed beside Robyn and gently stroked her hair absentminded.

“Soon Robyn…I’ll claim your soul.” She whispered, “And you’ll be mine…once I’ve gotten rid of a certain pest that lives in my mind.”

“You won’t ever have her! You’ll never! You’re just a cold blooded murderer!” A voice shouted from within Alex’s mind. “She is NOT yours.”

“Shut up!” Alex thought furiously. “Camille, you don’t exist anymore.”

“I loved Robyn…so do you. After all…we’re the same. Except, I’m just your lost humanity…the true Alex once as a human…before you, Alex the Conqueror came to be.” The voice continued to lecture. “You can’t rid me…I’m you.”

“Silence! I am no human and will never be. The Alex you represent is dead…and will stay dead. She was never a part of me.” Alex thought.

“Naw…she is. I am…” It laughed at her. “You can’t lie to me. Shame on you…lying to yourself.”

“Ok that’s it…you’re going out tomorrow.” Alex clutched her head. “I’ll personally make sure you go out forever…and then, we’ll see who claims Robyn first.”

“You think I don’t know what’s gonna go on? You must think I’m a idiot…you bastard, she ain’t yours and will never be.” The voice nagged. “Ha-ha! Yeah right, Daddy’s girl, yeah right!”

“SHUT UP!” She screamed out loud. A vampire had stuck her head in the room, “Ma’am?”

“LEAVE!” Alex snapped at her. “Tell the others to continue doing what they were supposed to do before.” Then she turned to face the sleeping girl next. “Sleep now and get your rest…tomorrow is a very special day for both of us.”

Robyn yawned and stretched her arms. Then she felt a sharp pain in her wrist and noticed two puncture marks on it. She remembered what had happened the night before and hoped Alex didn’t do anything to her while she passed out from blood loss.

There was a bowl of cereal and water set on the Asian table and she made her way to it and ate it. Alex had seemed to be in a good mood today for she seemed very easy-going…almost like the Camille, Robyn remembered. Robyn had received permission to go in the library and read whatever she liked. She carefully made her way in and gasped, there were like…millions of books all shelved in A-B-C order on the walls. Huge long windows shone large amounts of sunlight in the room and she chose a soft comfortable seat near one of the windows. In her hand, she held one of her books that she wrote five years ago, “The Hero”.

     She had written that book five years ago, inspired by a dream she had. She remembered the happiest moment she ever knew was hearing that the book had bee published and millions had been sold at once. She had been so happy, so happy unlike now where she was held prisoner 24 hours a day. But then again, she was treated better than most slaves back then. She opened her book to page one;

I tell a tale of love, evil, justice, and betrayal. Once back then in Ancient Greece…where I was newly a maiden of 14 moons old.

I lay my eyes upon the most magnificent person that I have ever seen. She is dressed like a man, in armor and carrying a sword. She walks ever so gracefully towards me and smiles at me with the most dazzling smile I had ever seen. “My name’s Hero.” She says. “I’ve come from the Island of the Sirens to bear a message to you by Poseidon, lord of the sea.”

I was speechless and my mouth gaped open as I stared at her. She smiles again, “Well do you wish to hear it?”

“Why of course.” I quickly said, embarrassed of my stupidity. “What is that Poseidon wants of me?” I looked up at her tall figure…she was so tall that I had to practically break my neck to look her in the face.

“Milando…I am Hero, daughter of Poseidon. I have come …by fate to you.” She says carefully. “I want to…I want to join your quest that you are about to take.”

“What?” I am confused by her words. She sits down and motions to me to do the same. “By far you and I are destined to travel the worlds to correct a great wrong…”

Robyn thought carefully as she read that part. Hero and Milando, later in the story, had turned out to become lovers and by blessing of the gods, Hero was transformed into a man. She tried to remember why she had written a story with such a theme in it. Up until now, she hadn’t even really had any good terms with the word “Gay” and she never even thought she was even one at all. All she remembered was that, so inspired by a dream that came to her one night, she wrote the stories ever so focused on recalling the dream that she never even stopped to consider what it was at all.

“Milano…I’ve been meaning to tell you something…I cannot keep it a secret any longer…” Hero turned to face me. I turned to face her, “Yeah?”

“I…uh, I…”She tried to say but her voice kept breaking off. “I…I…”

“What Hero? What do you wish to say to me?” I walked over to her and put my arms around her. She relaxed for a second there but then she became even tenser than before. “It’s ok…you can tell me anything.” I coaxed.

  “I think…I think I am…” She began. “I think I love you.”

“Well…so do I! We’re best friends for the gods’ sake.” I chuckled. “What’s the big deal about that?”

“No…I meant, I think I’m in love with you.” She repeated. “I…it just happened…I never really intended to be like this. I’m sorry…”

Silence enveloped us and I sat there, jaws open. She…she loved me? W-was this some trickery that the gods had thrown our way? I was suspicious, since our adventures together that took us too many worlds; the gods had occasionally played tricks on us as if we were playthings.

“Is that…is that what you felt all these years?” I finally said to her. She nodded…and got up and looked at me sadly. Then she turned to walk out the room…but I ran to her and grabbed her arm. “Don’t go anywhere.” I said smoothly to her. She shrugs me off but I made another grab and in her surprise she fell backwards on top of me. Embarrassed, she tried to get off me but I grabbed her face and placed a passionate kiss on her lips. I felt resistance at first, but then I felt her lips slowly soften and return my kiss with equal passion. She moaned and began to deepen our kiss. Her hands began to travel along my cheek and she caressed it gently as we lay on the floor. Then suddenly she broke the kiss and we started to breathe heavily, for oxygen was becoming an issue.

“Do…do you really want this?” She asked hesitantly. “I mean…”

But I hushed her quickly, “No, love…I love you and will always.” And she smiled once again with that dazzling smile of hers and we got up slowly and closed the door behind us. Suddenly, Artemis appeared before us and smiled radiantly. Aphrodite also appeared and together they said, “Consider this our thanks for saving a lot of butts in the world.” And they waved their hands and suddenly Hero was surrounded by a blinding flash of light. I shielded my eyes and then in a flash they were gone.

“Hero?” I questioned. “Where art thou? What have the gods done to you?”

But where Hero stood, was not Hero, but a fully naked man. He stood radiantly before me, muscles toned and as tall as Hero was. His short, black hair was glistening and his blue eyes were gleaming at me. I gasped in surprise.

“…I…It’s me, Hero.” He said. “Only…I think I’m a man.”

Robyn remembered the happy ending of her story. Indeed, that was how her dream ended. However, recalling the facts from long ago and comparing to what she knew right now, seemed weird. The familiar description of Hero…was just exactly describing Camille. They both were strong, tall, raven haired, and had blue eyes. She closed the book and pondered over the possibility that this dream that came upon her not by chance, but by fate. This seemed too much of a coincidence between her dream and the reality she lived in now.

A crash was heard from behind her. Suddenly a knife pressed itself on Robyn’s neck. “Squeal and die.” The voice hissed.

“A-aries?” Robyn dropped the book. She sat perfectly still as Aries made himself comfortable behind her chair. “The one and the only.” He said smugly.

    “W-what do you want?”

“I want to kill you.” He said simply. “As simple as that. I’m so sick and tired of seeing my Alex so pathetic and weak because of you.”

“What? I didn’t make her like that. It’s not my fault she happens to own me.”

“Shut up!” He tightened his grip on the knife. “Everything is your fault…if you or Alex didn’t meet at all…I’d have my Alex back and it’d have been like old times…”

“Well then, what are you waitin’ for?” She said angrily. “I’m dead anyway…It wouldn’t matter if I died…”

“Oh I will…” He hissed and he forcibly tilted her neck. “Oh I will…yes.”

He began his descent on Robyn’s neck, when a loud thud was heard. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” A voice drawled. “Get away from her.”

Aries whirled around and found himself smacked flat on the floor. Alex shot a menacing glare at him and pressed her foot on his chest. “What the hell were you thinkin’ you were doin’?”

“I-I…um.” He sank as Alex’s expression became very hard and cruel. “…I…”

“Godforsaken it, Aries!” She snarled at him. “You’re a pest aren’t ya? Damn it I told you to stay away from her!”

“Well it wasn’t like it had to be that way!” Aries knocked away Alex’s foot aside. “Damn it! All my life, I’ve always been yours. I did everything to please you the way I thought you wanted me to do! And this is how you treat me? Damn it…” He rose to his feet, shaking in anger. “I…All I’ve done was bring you roses while you chew and spit me out like the evil person you are! All I wanted was to please you and be yours…”

“Aw, not this again…I told you…you’re a useless crap now.” She rolled her eyes. At this remark, Aries trembled in deep hatred. “Fine…if you won’t listen…perhaps after I do this…you will!” He turned and grabbed Robyn by the neck and threatened to snap her neck. Alex froze and he smiled satisfied, he was in control now. “Now…time to kill the obstacle.” He moved to twist her neck and Robyn winced in pain as he continued to pull her neck slowly and painfully. Alex then lunged at Aries, in a blink of an eye, and knocked him ten feet away. Robyn fell to the floor and gasped, massaging her neck. Alex strode over to Aries and grabbed his neck roughly, “Warning…do this again and I’ll destroy you in unthinkable ways…” She hissed. “Take him away…and lock ‘em in a cell.” She waved her hands as two large men approached her. Running over to Robyn and examined her for any serious injury, “…Nothing broken or bleeding?”

“No but I wish there was.” Robyn grunted in disappointment. “Darn…” Alex’s eyes grew narrow and she grabbed Robyn’s wrists, “Don’t do this…I’m trying goddamn it!” She furiously dragged Robyn by the wrist to the main bedroom. “Damn it! You don’t have to be so frickin’ suicidal!”

“No?” Robyn spat. “No? Why shouldn’t I? I’m trapped in a mansion where a lunatic is watching me 24 hours a day and there’s like, no hope at all for me.”

With that, Alex delivered a full blown hit on Robyn’s face. She stumbled and staggered backwards holding her cheek in pain. “Shut up.” She clenched her jaws. Damn it, why did Robyn have to push her buttons? For god’s sake, Alex was trying to make it better for her. “…You know what, I should just take what I want and not have to try to get it…” She walked towards Robyn and kicked her in the stomach. Robyn let out a grunt, and bent over…clutching her stomach. Then Alex grabbed her and threw her onto the bed and jumped on top of her with little effort. Then she straddled Robyn and pressed her arms down on the bed.

“That’s much better.” Alex remarked coldly. “Now…before we have our fun…I need to take care of something…” She leaned back and whistled and soon enough, Riley and a couple of other vampires surrounded them. “The amulet.” She held out her hand. “Give it now.”

Riley brought a small mahogany box and opened it, holding it out for Alex. She took it and held it tight in her hands and whispered the incantations written on the box; Incanto Re In Lse

Soon enough, loud winds surrounded Alex and the whole room shook violently. She laughed out loud insanely in the swirl of cloud that hovered above her. Riley cowered on the floor and so did the others; they shielded their eyes from the roaring wind ripping away at their flesh. Robyn unfortunately had a first class seat and had to shield her eyes from debris that the wind picked up. She could feel the intense wind rip away at her skin and jeans. Alex, however, remained intact untouched by the wind on top of Robyn, laughing. Then suddenly, the wind died and the room stopped shaking. Slowly, very slowly, Robyn uncovered her eyes and there, Alex was still straddled on her. But the others had already stood up and weren’t looking at Alex but rather, someone who was behind Robyn’s head on the bed. Alex had an evil gleam in her eye as she looked at the figure in front of her. Robyn couldn’t see where or who was there for she was still pinned on the floor and her neck was temporarily out of order from recent abuses to it. But Alex didn’t seem to care and was staring intently on whoever was behind Robyn.

Finally Alex opened her mouth in a smirk, “Well, well…see I did it, didn’t I?” She said rather proudly. “Now you can watch me having fun…huh, Camille?”
