The Pirate And The Lady

Come hither, young maidens, and listen to me
I sing of a love that was destined to be
With rhyme and with music, I'll weave you a spell
So gather around me, and mark my words well.

A brave pirate captain once sailed on the sea
As rakish and as bold as a pirate could be
She captured young maidens, and bore them away
And to her fair victims, these words she would say:

Chorus:

                I'll storm all your castles, I'll swim all your moats
                I'll cross all your bridges, I'll burn all your boats
                I'll take you and make you, and when all is told
                You'll never want rescue from pf the Bold!

She carried them off, and she ravished each one
And had them completely before she was done
But when she had finished, and put them ashore
She hoisted her sails and set off to find more.

Though many a maiden was less than content
To wave at the stern of her ship as she went
Her rollicking crew cheered her on all the way
And chanted together the words she would say:

Chorus:

                I'll storm all your castles, I'll swim all your moats
                I'll cross all your bridges, I'll burn all your boats
                I'll take you and give you the pleasure you crave
                You'll never want rescue from pf the Brave!

The ocean is fickle; the weather is worse
One night when conditions became too adverse
The pirate ship came to a sheltered retreat
Where destiny and the brave captain would meet.

Above the small harbor, a castle stood square
Whose Lady was said to be past all compare
And as they hove to, and tied up at the quay
The pirates could see pf grin, and then say:

Chorus:

                I'll storm all your castles, I'll swim all your moats
                I'll cross all your bridges, I'll burn all your boats
                I'll take you and make you your virtue forsake
                You'll never want rescue from pf the Rake!

The captain strode into the castle's Great Hall
And found that the rumors were true, after all
The Lady was beautiful, lissome and sleek
With dimples adorably marking each cheek.

Her dark eyes were lovely, she smiled like the dawn
The lines of her face by a Master were drawn
Her silken caress led the pirate away
And dazed by her perfume, pf heard her say:

Chorus:

                I'll storm all your castles, I'll swim all your moats
                I'll cross all your bridges, I'll burn all your boats
                I'll keep you and give you the love that you need
                You'll not sail away and leave Emily Reed!

The morning dawned fair, but pf did not sail
Her crew begged and pleaded, all to no avail
Enraptured completely, she would not depart
The castle's dark Lady had captured her heart.

A week became two, and then two became three
The pirate ship finally set forth to sea
Without their bold captain, the crew sailed away
And never again would they hear pf say:

Chorus:

                I'll storm all your castles, I'll swim all your moats
                I'll cross all your bridges, I'll burn all your boats
                And though I have finished, my rhyming all done
                pf and her Lady have only begun!
