Part 4
Off into the night the two friends followed Dread. As Laney stayed directly behind her long time friend she finally realized that Ramona was right about one thing, she knew very little about her friend and her culture. Dread was an exemplary judge, one couldn’t find an officer more dutiful, loyal and dedicated to the position than her. Yet, somehow Laney felt that even the prayers of the ancient ones couldn’t prepare her for the emotional side of befriending a transulor.
“Sweetie,” Laney said softly while activating my skyracer’s analysis system. “Would you give me a little heat?” “Sure Empress Laney.” Sweetie returned creating a containment field around the judge’s body. “Oh, thank you sweetie. That feels so much better.” “You are welcome Judge Laney…I aim to please.” Sweetie concluded with blinking sensor lights. “Why Sweetie you’re nothing more than a big Flirt aren’t you.” Laney shot with a chuckle.
“Dread, How much longer is this trip going to be, I’m freezing my buns off back here.” Dread looked down at her sensors then back over her left shoulder to tell her friends not much further. The empress then eased back on her speed and hovered over an iced capped ledge that lead straight up into the camouflaged clouds and the top of the mountain.
Ramona and Laney pulled up along side Dread and waited for further instructions. Dread sighed after looking up at the clouds then back over to each of her friends before speaking. It had been a while since she’d been here and before Laney and Ramona normal">entered the castle she felt that she should give them a little history about it.
“This castle is a family legacy handed down from generation to generation. There are some things that you may see in here that you haven’t seen in your entire life, remain calm and more importantly DO NOT panic. I am told that my Great, Great, Great, Great grandmother was a Valkyrie and she possessed the power of a goddess. She was also one of the greatest female warriors known before the birth of Christ. Some called her the conqueror, the destroyer and defiler so the entire castle may look like a warrior museum to you. Also…” Dread said pausing to take a deep breath. “When I was much younger my mother told me of stories about the place being haunted by ancient warriors, supposedly there is a dragon reared and raised by the ancient underworld god Hades that keeps the spirits from roaming outside of the castle. But,” Dread said with a slow grin upon her face, “Those are just old wise tales. I’ve been here several times and I haven’t seen a dragon yet…Ready?” Dread asked revving her Racer’s engine and looking upward.
“Hell naw, I’m not ready.” Laney spat looking up at the clouds.
“Are you saying to me that you have hanks and dragons roaming around in this supposedly evil fortress of your grandmother’s.” “Those are old wise tales.” Dread popped with furrowed browse. “Now stop your whining and com’on.”
“I’ma kick your ass if I get bit by this imaginary dragon you have running around this legacy of yours.” Laney mumbled, revving her skyracer’s engine once more before shooting through the clouds behind Dread.
“Dread,” Laney called to her friend while sliding off her motor craft. “You may wanna check you Comm button before we go inside. It’s blinking like crazy, it’s may be the chief justice wanting to get a looksy at that little kicking monster of yours.” Laney finished with a chuckle. Dread rolled her eyes and shoved her giggling friend back away from her scraper while initiating her data base comm line.
“Dread.” She answered.
“Hello dread, Justice Lowery here.” He said with a quaint smile.. “I understand a congratulations is in order. I heard you have a little kicking Transuleer on your hands now, along with a new wife, that’s good. I’m calling to inform you that we are assigning you a new judge trainee and…she graduated at the top of the 2076 class.”
“Great…just great,” Dread returned dryly. “Justice Lowery I am still trying to apprehend Caleerah. I can’t…”
“Now Dread,” the justice interrupted. “You know judges never say can’t, I think the phrase is that you don’t want to be bothered now. Yet the case you are working on has no baring on this new assignment. Maybe this cadet could lend you and the bobsy twins a hand in solving it. You will meet your trainee at 1400 cruutons. Be there, or I’ll have your two traveling companions escort you in. Am I making myself clear Empress Dread?”
“Ooh,” Laney hummed before mumbling. “I think Justice Lowery is having a little attitude.”
“Understood,” Dread stated prior to immediately terminating the connection with a flick of her communication button. “Com’on,” She snapped quickening her pace to the entrance of the castle.
“How in the fuck are we going to get her back to Justice Hall if she don’t want to go?” Ramona said with fear in her eyes. “I don’t know, so let’s be nice as pie and maybe we won’t get our asses kicked in the process of trying to deliver her.” Laney retorted before following Dread inside.
Back at Dread’s Place…
“Watch this, stay here, do this, do that, when am I going to get in on the action.” Carl griped preparing Gabrielle and the baby’s evening snack. “All I’ve managed to do so far is watch a love session, Ooh,” he said stopping just long enough to coo and think back on the session. “But the first one was nice. Then I had to watch my best friend be opened up like a refrigerator to have the baby, I was knocked to the floor by her way more heavier than she looks partner, and finally…WHO’S THERE?” Carl shouted peeping over the kitchen counter at the front door. The doorbell rang again. “Shit…” He inoculated while removing his apron and striding over to the door.
“Slide your ID into the slot, otherwise you aren’t getting in.” He popped leaning up against the doorframe and waiting for the person to comply. The visitor did as instructed and Carl found himself going rigid after the person’s identification scrolled across the comm panel. “Damn, what is this? It’s raining Judges day.” He said waving his hand over the entrance module. The door slid opened and in stepped this female judge. Her head slowly turned as the scanning mechanism within her helmet inspected the room.
“Dread’s not here,” Carl said blocking her path, thinking the Judge was solely there to speak with Dread. At least that was what he thought before he notice the judge raising her chin and taking a whiff of the air particles of the apartment. The visor on her helmet slid up slowly to reveal her glaring green eyes. “Step aside civilian.” Carl took a step back from the judge and activated his wrist lazer there was something that wasn’t quite right about her.
“I’ll state again,” he said patiently bringing up his arm to point it at the Judge. “Dread is not…” With a flick of her wrist and upturned hand the judge shot her neck harness out around Carl’s neck and secured its hold with a firm yank of her arm. Aarrrrgh,” He gurgled falling to his knees struggling with the harness.
“There is a breeder here, where is she?” She growled bending down to stare into Carl’s eyes. “I don’t…what are you talking about?” He gasped still struggling with the harness. “Oh I see you need a little persuasion.” She retorted clicking a switch on her wristband injecting a fifty-watt jolt of electricity into Carl’s body. “ZZZZZZZZ,” Carl burbled as his body went rigid and toppled over backwards. “Where is she?” “I don’t know what you are talking about.” Carl returned breathlessly, still trembling from the effects of the electric currents she’d just given him. His response earned him a swift kick to his face automatically rendering him unconscious. “Never mind, I’ll find her myself.” She stated re-coiling her harness and stepping away from Carl’s limp frame.
Gabrielle lied curled up on her side with Alaina lying snuggly down in front of her. The judge trainee stepped into the bedroom and Gabrielle’s eyes instinctively popped opened. Leaping up into a sitting position Gabrielle gathered the baby into her arms and scrambled to a nearby corner of the bed. The trainee slowly walked over to the bed and just stared over at Gabrielle. “What’s your name breeder?” She asked while starting to pace. Gabrielle remained quiet. Each transulor generated a scent of their own and at the present Gabrielle was speedily growing nauseous. She could feel her pouch tighten and harden as she watch the pacing judge stare at her as if she wanted to devour her. “My wife will be here soon. What do you want?” Gabrielle asked quietly. By this time Alaina was beginning to stir in her arms. The judge looked down at the whimpering baby then back to Gabrielle. She made a step toward the bed but instantly took a few steps back, realizing if she got any closer she would be crossing over into Dread’s mating seat. It is known all about the sisterhood that if marked territories are crossed by an invading transulor it could mean a painful death for them. Dread would surely hunt her down and kill her for attempting to mate with her wife.
“I am Judge Nahara, I have been assigned to Dread as her trainee. I did not know she had taken a mate. A mate that is rather attractive I might add.” She whirred while starting up her pace again.
“I take it by the little transuleer in your arms that you have mated with Dread. Do you love her?” The judge asked with questioning eyes.
“CARL,” Gabrielle screamed, realizing that if the transulor felt daring enough to advance her there could be nothing she could do to contain her. Yes she had added strength but Transulors were proned and bred to overcome the breeder no matter what the situation called for. Carl stumbled to his feet and headed into the bedroom as fast as he could. Rubbing his eyes briskly he stared at the antsy Judge wondering how in the hell could he keep her for harming Gabrielle and the baby. Finally he decided that it would have to be all or nothing. Cautiously he moved into the room and raised his wrist to activate his lazer console.
“I’m going to have to ask you again to leave… and NOW.” He said forcefully. Gabrielle looked as if she was a frightened beyond belief. (Ah, that can’t be good Dread would surely kill me if she came home and Gabrielle was crouched in the corner as if she’d been beaten.) Carl thought, circling around the now stationary Judge.
Nahara looked back over her shoulder and gave him a dismissive snort, before glancing back over at Gabrielle. “Think about what I just asked you. You may just want to change your mind.” She said giving Gabrielle a wink before turning to leave. Carl continued in his circle around the judge, observing her confident departure with his weapon still drawn. “Brie are you and Alaina all right?” He asked watching the doorway and reaching for his friend hand. Gabrielle grabbed his hand and snatched him into the bed with her. Carl moved in closer and pulled Gabrielle and the little kicking transuleer into his arms and held them. “It’s okay Brie, Dread will be back soon.” Carl, like Laney wasn’t up on these traditions and unspoken laws of the rituals of Transulors and breeders bonding, but what he did know was that Gabrielle seemed terrified beyond reasoning. Never had he ever seen her in such a state.
“What did she say to you Brie?” Carl asked briskly rubbing his hand up and down Gabrielle’s arm as if to knock a hidden chill from his friend’s body. “She’s seeking a mate too.” Gabrielle returned tightening her hold on Carl and Alaina.
“Well she’d better look else where because if Dread can rip a door off from the hinges no telling what she could and would do if she was to get jealous.” He retorted with a small chuckle. Actually it wasn’t Nahara Gabrielle was frightened of, it was Dread. Once she normal">stepped foot into the apartment she normal">was going to be able to tell that another transulor was here, meaning Gabrielle would become subject to a thorough examination by her mate. Sometimes the encounter was painful and sometimes it prompted a breeder’s partner to be more driven to satisfy their lover at all means possible. It would be safe to say that Gabrielle normal">was about to have the love match of her life.
“Dread is going to be able to tell that she was here.” Gabrielle said softly. “If this happens she will check the surroundings along with every inch of my body to discover if Nahara has touched me. The entire procedure could span from thirty minatrons to three days. Dread won’t rest, sleep or eat until her soul is satisfied of my loyalty to her and that Nahara actually didn’t touch me.”
“Are you saying that Dread is going to come in here smell this woman and check every inch of your body like a master does a slave?” Gabrielle didn’t speak she simply nodded her head up and down as a response to her friend’s question.
“Does that hurt?”
“Sometimes, it just depend on how Driven Dread will become. Single transulors are not allowed within a certain distance of a mated breeder. If she invades that space, it will send a bonded transulor into a rage. A rage severe enough at times to kill the intruder and frantic enough to hurt their partner during Moch-tone. That is where Dread will take me physically as many times as she desires to prove to me that she is a worthy mate.” Carl pulled back slightly from his friend and gaze quizzically down into her troubled eyes. “Are you telling me that Dread will be prompted to make love to you up to seventy hours without stopping.” Gabrielle giggled softly and re-assured her friend that Dread was a loving and caring partner, once she has realized that Nahara hasn’t touched her it won’t take that long for her partner to be convinced that the obtrusive judge didn’t touch her.
Back at the castle…
“You guys wait here.” Dread instructed while waving her hand over a motion panel built into the wall near this huge ancient looking fireplace.
“Dread this is a medieval castle, why do you have modern technology in it.” Laney asked her friend with a shocked look on her face and her arms slightly raised. Dread looked about the room and hunched up in her shoulders. “Why not, besides visitors wouldn’t expect lights to be in a castle would they.” Dread retorted while raising her shoulders and wiggling her fingers in a eery manner before chuckling and leaving the room. “Sometimes I hate her.” Laney said moving to browse around the room.
“Oh man,” Ramona said in an admiring tone. “These things are priceless. Look at this old fireplace, I bet the wood inside it is older than we are.” “Or,” Laney popped. “Dread could’ve replicated it, burned it and made you think that it was some old wood.” She cleverly retorted before turning about just in time to see her partner head off into another room.
“Ramona, get back here Dread said not to leave this room.” “No, she said you guys wait here. Besides we’re just next door.” Ramona said looking back at her friend with a curious smile on her face. “Com’on we just won’t cut on the lights that way she’ll think we stayed put if we make it back before she does.” The brown beauty said, moving about the room.
“Ooh baby,” Ramona whirred beckoning Laney over to her. “Dread has every weapon you can imagine here. Look at this crossbow, exquisite craftsmanship isn’t it? Whomever made this weapon was an expert at it, and most likely with Dread’s history the person could have very well been her grandmother’s personal blacksmith.” Laney stared around the room again but this time she was picking up on some eery vibes, the entire setting felt cold as a tomb…something wasn’t quite right. Ramona continued to goo at the artful display of guantlets, war shields, halberd and pikes, axes, flails, maces, breast plates, helms and armor suiting. Laney however was getting chills up and down her back, something was in there with them. “Ramona,” She whispered while turning about in a slow observing circle, “let’s go back, this doesn’t feel right.” “Oh baby look,” Ramona chimed darting from one armor suit to the other, “this one is gold plated.” Laney didn’t answer instead she activated her helmet’s scanner.
“Radar analysis,” She said softly while still moving slowly around in a tight circle. For the life of her she couldn’t understand why Ramona wasn’t edgy. Hell she acted as if she was on a playground and she was the only child there. Nevertheless Laney grew even more suspicious, not only was her hair tightening on her head, but for some reason she felt that the entity was even closer than just lingering about in the room. As the soft piercing on the activated scanner primed sharply in her ear the structural bios of the room came into view. Laney couldn’t shake the eerie feeling that something was actually there and…it was watching them. Out of no where she felt a brush of warm, moist air normal">envelope her neck from behind. It was hot, hot like the breath of the dragon Dread was talking about. Laney whirled about with a raised arm and her weapon ready to discharge when something from the darkness rushed out at her and snagged the very arm she intended to fire her weapon with. A strong yank from the invisible entity hauled Laney clear up off the floor and tossed her about like she was a rag doll. Laney could feel the rumbling of panic in the pit of her stomach as it swirled about and sprung from her throat like a busted water main.
“DREEEEEEAD!” She screamed as loud as she possibly could, but for some reason she was afraid that the impact of the urgency didn’t get out like she intended because of the way her body was being tossed around. Ramona tore back into the room, after venturing off into another prohibited area, just in time to see her partner’s body being wagged about in the air like a favorite bone, by what she wasn’t quite sure of. She couldn’t see anything, but there was no secret that something had a hold of Laney and it was enjoying itself immensely.
Ramona slid down to her right knee and brought her right wrist up preparing to shoot, when she heard Dread come up from behind biding her to be quiet, she’d get Laney back. Dread then stepped around her friend and broke into a pulsar sprint toward the invisible image. Whatever it was it quickly dropped Laney and took off toward Dread. Ramona still couldn’t tell from heads or tails what was going on because she didn’t see anything in which to base her examination on except Dread. What she did see though was whatever the thing was hit Dread with so much force that it sent her soaring high up into the sky tumbling and somersaulting about. However on Dread’s descend Ramona noticed that she was smiling. This thing…whatever it was obviously wasn’t some horrible monster or dragon Dread told them of before coming into the castle but a pet of some kind. Dread yelled out some kind of battle cry before landing smoothly upon the creature’s back. She then cackled and rubbed the head of the invisible image before it let out a ghastly roar and appeared so Ramona and Laney could view it.
“GOOD LORD! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?” Laney yelled while tumbling backward upon her hands and scrambling further back from the creature. Ramona’s mouth fell open in surprise as the Dynomutt’s wings spanned out about him like a huge mothra. “It’s Dread’s dynomutt.” She returned rushing to her partner’s side and pulling her to her feet. “You were wondering how big they get, well take a look.” Ramona said with a chuckle. “And look, he still acts like a new born pup.”
“That ain’t no pup Ramona.” Laney snapped looking down at the shred of a sleeve that was once covering her arm. “Look at what it did to my clothes.” She huffed watching Dread cackle and ride around on the thing as if it was a prized mare or something. “Baby calm down, it was just playing with ya.” Ramona said examining the sleeve. “If it wanted to harm you trust me all it would have taken was a single bite to kill ya.” “Damn this, I’m ready to go back. Dread get down off that hideous thing and let’s go. I hope you took care of what you needed to because I, Judge Laney, am out of here.” Laney said striding toward the door. In a flash the dynomutt took off toward the exit and blocked it, he then lowered his head and gave Laney a nudge before give her a toothy cheese. “Dread, Dread is that thing smiling at me. Get it away from me, it’s despicable and it’s drooling all on me.” “Stop your whining Laney,” Dread said sliding to her pet’s shoulder and waiting for it to lift its leg so that it could lower her to the floor. “He’s just playing with ya.”
“Dread that ugly thing you normal">call a pet was waving me around like a twenty century flag caught in the wind, now for some strange reason Laney don’t feel love from that.” “Say hello to Ares,” Dread said totally ignoring Laney’s complaints and patiently raising her palm upward, commanding her childhood pet to kneel. The entire room shook from the impact as the huge dynomutt went down onto his knees as commanded. Laney could automatically tell that Dread was not going to let them leave the castle without giving that giant mutt a compliment.
“Hi dog,” Laney said sarcastically, wanting to get back at Dread for not telling them that this huge monstrosity was just running around the castle free as a bird and scaring normal humans to death. Ares lowered his head and released and terrifying screech directly in Laney’s face making her go rigid, her hair stand straight up on her head and her lungs to deflate. She didn’t know rather to scream or faint. “Nice Ares,” she finally cooed in a pitch higher than her normal voice. The dynomutt retracted his shrieking scold and gave Laney a big juicy lick straight up the middle of her face. This time she did faint, his breath alone was even more aberrant than his appearance. Ramona and Dread looked over at each other and fell back laughing before dragging their friend out of the castle into the chilly night air.
“I guess we can head back once she’s conscious,” Dread said smiling. “I’ve taken care of what I need to and hopefully a solution to our Caleerah and Momma problem. Ramona gave Dread a nod and gazed back down at her part-time partner as all kinds of ideas began to filter through her mind. “This is just too good to not tell someone Dread,” Ramona said with raised eyebrows and a mischievous look in her eyes. “So,” Dread pondered before asking her friend just what she had in mind. “Well we could,” “We could do what,” Laney interrupted groggily. “You better not try to tell anyone about this else I will take my revenge on both of you in ways you’d never imagine. Maybe I’ll give that big ass dinosaur of yours Dread a crate of e-lax (an ancient laxative). And you li’l missy, I haven’t used my annihilator of you lately, maybe you need a reminder on just whom you should be loyal to woman. Now let’s get out of here before that thing kills me with his breath.” She said jumping to her feet and striding over to her racer. “Last one back gets to cook for all of us.” Laney stated before streaking away from the pair and tearing back through the clouds in pursuit of civilization and normal existences. “Dread,” Ramona said looking over at her friend with a painful expression upon her face. “You’d better let me take the lead, because everyone in Faze Land know that Transulors can’t cook.” Dread chuckled as she watched her friend break for her racer and take off behind Laney.
Back at the condo…
“Com’on Ramona,” Laney gasped tearing from the turbo lift with her partner in tow. “She’s right behind us.” It didn’t take a second for Dread to leap from the lift and tear straight through Ramona and Laney as if they were standing still. The impact along automatically sent Ramona hurling like a spinning top up against the wall and Laney to the floor.
“What the fuck is her problem?” Laney said lifting her head to glare up at her friend. “I don’t know,” Ramona returned, helping Laney to her feet and watching Dread closely. “Oh my Wakar, I think she senses the presence of another Transulor. Look how she’s lowering and raising her head as if she sniffing the air. “Com’on,” Ramona said racing over to Dread.
“Door Open,” Dread said a little bit more forceful than usual. The minute the door was opened she tore into the apartment and over to the bedroom. Carl leaped from the bed and started trying to explain what had happen before being knocked away from the bed. “Hay!” he said jumping to his feet and starting toward Dread. “CARL!” Ramona shouted. “Hold your place.” Both Carl and Dread looked back at Ramona. “Carl, listen to me I want you to back away real slow like…now,” she finished in a hush. Carl met his new friends glance with furrowed browse. Why was she acting as if he was being stalked? “Now Carl…Now,” she said in a whispering tone. Dread continued to hold Ramona’s gaze as Carl slowly backed away.
“Was there another Transulor in here earlier?” She asked grabbing Carl’s hand and pulling him along side her and in between her and Laney.
“I don’t know about her being a transulor, well at least I didn’t know until Gabrielle told me, but this real cocky judge trainee just tore in here and started propositioning Brie.” Dread whirled around and glared at Gabrielle before reaching out and snatching her to her by her neck. Gabrielle squealed and clinched her eyes tightly shut while holding firmly to Alaina.
“Did she touch you?” Dread asked Gabrielle while holding her up securely by her throat. “What is she doing?” Carl asked attempting to return to the bed. Dread’s head jerked around and her eyes glaring eyes seemed to glow as she held her stunned friends gaze. “Good lord I think we are in some serious trouble.” Laney whispered. “Long as you keep still she’s not going to engage you. And Carl…this is not the time to play hero, Dread will cut you to shreads. Single transulors are not suppose to invade another transulors space especially a married one.” The trio watched as Dread broke off eye contact with them and re-directed her attention back to her wife. “DID SHE TOUCH YOU?” Dread questioned in a roaring tone. Gabrielle cringed from the brashness in her mate’s voice. Dread didn’t bother to wait for an answer, instead she just start tearing at the few clothes Gabrielle did have on, revealing a little bit more of her partner's body each time. Alaina was terrified, by her mother’s demeanor and instantly started to cry.
“Please Alaeah,” Gabrielle whispered, not wanting to upset the baby nor her partner more than they each already were. “DID SHE TOUCH YOU?” Dread screamed again totally ignoring her partner’s plea to stop. “ANSWER ME…ANSWER ME…ANSWER ME,” Dread scream as her assault became a bit rougher each time she tore off a piece of Gabrielle’s clothing.
It wasn’t until Dread forced her hand down between Gabrielle’s legs and Gabrielle shrieked her partner’s name in her native tongue did Dread seize her actions. Carl watched as Dread hands stilled and she just stood there staring at Gabrielle panting as if she’d been wounded. She then fell to her knees trembling. With the touch of a loving bride Gabrielle gently threaded her fingers in her wife dark locks and tenderly rested her head upon her thigh while summoning Carl to take Alaina. Carl quickly made it over to his friend’s side, took the crying baby and made a hasty retreat…Laney and Ramona weren’t far behind him.
Once out of the bedroom Laney rushed to the kitchen and grabbed her a cold one. These Transulor and Breeder rituals were making her a basket case. “What the fuck just went on in there and why did Dread act as if she’d lost her ever loving mind?” “Because she did.” Ramona stated, shifting Alaina into her lap while Carl fed her chunks of melon.
“What are you saying? That if Dread sniffs another gyp in her space she goes berserk?” “I’m saying that Transulor and breeders have impeccable instincts, which sometimes govern their will. Dread could no more control her self than a lioness that is in the midst of making a kill. When Dread picked up on the scent of this other transulor all she could think about was the intruder taking Gabrielle from her. This automatically triggers a defensive hormone in Dread’s labia cortex which sends out a powerful agent that sorta works like adrenaline does in humans, however it is ten times more powerful in Transuals. Had Gabrielle not called her name out in the ancient language and Dread recognized the fear in her partner’s voice no telling what would have happen.
“And she just kept tearing at her even when she begged her to stop. She could have hurt Alaina in the process.” Carl said reaching for Alaina and placing her in her lap. “Well she seems to be fine now.” He said caressing the little one’s hair…that is right before she grabbed his hand and bit it. “OWWWW,” he screamed ripping his thumb out of the baby’s mouth. “Why is she torturing me?” he said handing her back over to a laughing Ramona. “She likes you. She finds you fascinating.” She chirped reaching in and tickling Alaina. “Well if being her uncle is more painful than this then I’m going to tell Gabrielle to just…” “to just what?” Gabrielle said pulling her robe closed and shutting the door quietly behind her.
“I thought you said you were going to be giving it up for nearly 72 hours, what happen?” Gabrielle smiled and took Alaina from Ramona and took a seat between her friends. “After the first examination Alaeah was convince that I hadn’t been touched, so after a very stimulating love session we reconciled and now she’s asleep.” “Asleep.” “Yes Carl asleep.” Ramona snapped. “After the Mochtone, and making love to their partner Transuals have to sleep for two cruutons to regain their strength. When she normal">examined Gabrielle’s body she checked her pouch, her seal and the rest of her body for unrecognized scents and chemical imbalances. This requires Dread’s body chemistry to change as if she’s about to mate which imposes a faster metabolism. Once she is satisfied that her partner’s body hadn’t been tampered with or her DNA hadn’t been altered then the reconciling portion of the ritual takes place. This is used as a form of forgiveness for partner’s that are usually a lot more barbaric than Dread during the first stages of the Mochtone.
“So is everything okay?” Carl asked not really understanding the entire functions of the Mochtone. He was just relieved to see that Gabrielle didn’t seemed to be physically harmed. “Yes Carl,” Gabrielle returned rubbing her friends arm with brisk strokes. “Everythings fine now. “Good,” Carl retorted jumping to his feet. “Then I’m out of here. There’s a party going on, on the westside and yours truly has a invitation to attend.” “Good-bye you evil spawn,” he said kissing Alaina upon the forehead. “Check you guys later,” he said dashing for the door. “Carl be careful.” Gabrielle yelled after her departing friend. “So,” she said taking a deep breath and looking back and forth from Laney to Ramona are you two staying the night?” “I love you, Dread and your little spawn here but I’m leaving this mad house for a bit. Tell Dread we’ll be back in the morning. Oh,” Laney said turning about with furrowed brows. Dread was supposed to meet with this new Cadet, but once we got here, I guess it sorta slipped her mind.” “No it didn’t slip her mind,” Gabrielle said with a calm smile. “She’ll take care of that when she awakes. You see, her new cadet, was the transual that tore in here and normal">invaded Dread’s space. So yes she will be seeing her don’t worry.” “Oh my,” Ramona groaned. “I pity her. Let’s go baby.” She said, dragging Laney behind her. “What did you mean by that? Is Dread going to kill the wench?” Laney asked curiously while following her partner out.
Gabrielle chuckled and stood Alaina up in her lap so that she could look into her mother’s sky blue eyes. “What’ll ya say little one, wanna head back to be with mommy.” “Mommy,” Alaina shouted jumping up and down in Gabrielle’s lap. “All right, let’s go then.” Gabrielle stated with a giggle, before pulling the little one back into her arms and heading back to bed.
