Part 2

The cursed wind whistled and howled within the night.  Sweeping the sands of the Poison Plains all about.  The two Travelers covered each part of their bodies as best they could.  Theories about the constant sandstorms in Poison Plains had been declared the most toxic zone of all of Faze land.  Skeletons of the unfortunate lay partially buried upon the scourged earth. Dry and Gothic just as the archives described it.  The only living travelers were the messengers for one of Empress Dread’s leading enemy...Caleerah.

“Why must we always enter through the shoots.  That place is even more deadly than this blasted desert.  Only fools like us would be caught here.  And that’s only because you fear that mad woman that haven’t even laid eyes on Faze land since Dread destroy her sect.  Why is she still so obsessed with Dread anyway?”

“I tell you why.  Dread is the reason why she’s a Cybor-clone. Her body was burned beyond repair during a stand off between her and dread.  In order to save her those Jack leg physicians on her staff had to transfer her thoughts to a cellular chip and place into another body.”

“Well that would explain why she’s as looney as a toon.”

“Watch it,” The friend said glancing nervously around them.

“What you say may be true, but remember her She Droids are always lurking about.  And if they record what you have said about the baron, she’ll have your hide. Now keep your mouth shut and let me do all the talking.  She is going to love what we’ve found out.”

The pair made it down into the slime covered, foul scented murky sewer and uncovered their wrist phasers.  Traveling this route to the Baron’s castle was almost as dangerous as standing out in the Poison Plains.  Biogenetic leeches resided here.  And they didn’t take kindly to visitors.

“Keep a close eye.” The leader said softly. “If these leeches jump you it’ll only take a few seconds for them to drain your body.  Like a quenching beverage.

“Remember now, they will only attack if you step on one of them.  So watch your frigging step.”

“You…You better just worry about watching your step because if one of them come for you, I’m going to get…while the getting is good.”

The leader slowly turned around and jabbed his two fingers into his friend’s eyes.”

“Owwwww…what’cha do that for.  I can’t see.”

“Precisely…now shut your stupid mouth and stay close.”

The Baron’s castle…Two Cruutons later

“Why are you two fools here?” The Baron’s She droid asked.  Towering over the two intruders like she was a half-dressed replica of the Statue of Liberty.

“We have news for the Baron.”  The leader said casting his eyes every which way but on the droid.

“And what’s that?” She asked moving closer to the man.

“Look’ere Chyna,” the leader’s little friend said rather bravely.

“You…you may be a damn good duplicate of the famous female wrestler Chyna but you don’t scare us.”

“Is that right.” The tall woman said with a smirk before slamming the little loud mouth to the floor and effectively pinning him under her boot.

“Ow…ow…mommy,” the man squealed.

“Ahhh baby…I see you’ve found a play mate.  Good, otherwise I’d have to come up with more things for you to do during my rest time.  I can’t seem to keep her off me.” The baron said with narrowed eyes.  “Programmed for extreme luvin’ ya know.” She purred sauntering past her lover and patting her lovingly on her backside.

“Samuel and Silas...What brings you to our gracious home,” the blonde asked with sassy brown eyes, bleached blonde hair and an, alluring frame.  Which wasn’t covered worth a damn.  (Okay…so she looks like Callisto.  I’ve never written a story about her.  So now’s my chance.)

“Dread.  You said you wanted us to find out if there was something you could use to plot your revenge against her.  Well, she’s mated.”

“Hahahaha…ohhhhh…how precious.  What does her little woman look like?  Is she pretty?”

“She is very attractive, and get this…she’s respected upon the breeders for her orator skills.  Some think of her as a…”

“Storytellerrrr,” the baroness interrupted with a grand smile on her face.  Laughter rung out all over the castle.  She couldn’t believe her luck.  Finally after all these years she was going to get a chance to get back at dread for ruining her life. And exiling her to the depths of the Poison Desert.

“Oh hunnnnnie,” she called to her lover that was still pinning Silas to the floor.

“Be a nice girl and leave Silas alone.  They are our guests.”

“Samuel and Silas I want you to show my Chyna pup just where this fascinating little mate of Dread’s is at.  I want to see Dread grovel before we get rid of her.  Oh...and Baby,” the baron said in a cooing tone.  “Make sure our little package doesn’t get so much as a scratch on her.  You know how I hate damage goods."

Chyna reached down and snatched Silas back up off the floor and roughly patted his clothes back down. After, delivering her partner an air smooch.

“Now...Let’s go.” She said turning about to leave.

“Oh and honey,” the baroness sung, while tipping over to her giant lover.

“I want you to make sure that your shield is working properly.  I don’t want the Plains night air to scorch your skin.  It is such a turn off to hear you whimper all night.”

Chyna bent down and kissed her lovey on the cheek and checked her wrist controls once more before snatching Samuel and Silas around to the front of her and shoving them forward.  “Let’s go…if I’m late getting back she makes me sleep in the lab.  And I…hate the lab.”

“W’at…w’at…what’s the Lab.”

“It where the Baroness places all they decaying droid bodies.  You humanoids would call them graveyards.  Now let’s go.”

Back at Dreads…

"Good morning beautiful," The Judge said greeting her wife with a huge smile.

"Good morning," Gabrielle said with a stretch accompanied with an "Ooh."

"By gracious, I've nearly in my second trimester," She stated pulling back the covers down to reveal her swollen abdomen.

"Yes and by this afternoon you will have completed it." Dread said smiling and running her fingers lightly over her partner's sealed pouch.

"Just what is your first name anyway." Gabrielle said curiously.

"My name is Alaeah, pronounced, "Uh-lay-uh." The judge said articulating each syllable very clearly.

"Alaeah…that's pretty." Gabrielle purred.  Threading her fingers gently through the Judges dark lots.

"Well Alaeah, later on tomorrow your little transuleer will be here and we won't have any time to play.  Are you feeling me." Gabrielle asked with bouncing eyebrows and curling tongue.

"Great Wrikar...You are soooo exquisite," the judge whispered sliding in closer to Gabrielle and tenderly locking her lips around her moaning mate’s.

"I wanna taste you." Gabrielle said breaking away from the kiss to stare into her partner’s darkening eyes.

"Oh godddds," the Judge grumbled pulling away from her partner’s warm lips.  Which was, by the way, currently applying soft kisses all about her neck.

"You are in your second trimester.  Homing in your second semester can pose a threat to the baby. You know that."

"No…No, we can get around that…Oh godds, Alaeah…I can smell it.  You know you want this too?"  Gabrielle panted.  Doubling her efforts.

"Yesssss," the judge hissed breathlessly.

"But…We have to slow it down.  I don't want to harm our baby."

Gabrielle stilled her inquisitive fingers and fell back upon the bed in defeat.  It was true that sometimes extra homing could soften her pouch, but the judge is able to produce the hormone, if necessary to harden it after mating.  And Gabrielle knew that.

"I can smell you Alaeah.  You want this too.  If my pouch softens you know you can fix that and you know it.  You just don’t want me any more."  She said with a long pout.  The judge fell back laughing.  In the height of sexual frustrations some breeders were known to kill others if they were kept from their partner.  So the judge notice that Lying was one of those ugly things breeders would partake in to just to ease their urges.

"You know that is not true.  You're just angry because you're not going to get your way."

"I could take it from you if I wished." Gabrielle said staring eminently into her partner's eyes.

"Yes you could…provided you receive the added ingredient from my body to increase your strength.  But you know you won't get that until after the baby is born and you two have went through your 72 hour bonding process.  I tell you what I will do though." The judge said moving up over her partner and sitting her up.

"Your pouch is sealed from the Grecian knob up.  Yet we still have access to your passageway.  What'a'ya say…ever tried it from the side…or back."

"Ooh Momma…Mee-uh, I love the way you think.  Let's get started." Gabrielle said enthusiastically.

Boom…Boom…Boom, came a strong knock on the door.

"GO AWAY…WE'RE NOT HOME." Gabrielle shouted, watching the angel of her eye close her robe and slide from the bed.

"Uh…hmmm…hmmm…hmmm," Gabrielle whimpered falling aimlessly back on her back.  "This is going to be the worst incubator period of my life."

"Place your ID in the slot." The judge asked activating her visicom.  Gabrielle's friend removed his human-zoid card and inserted into the identification coder as instructed.

"Honey…do you know a Carl Nomad."

"Oh my gosh…" Gabrielle said leaping from the bed and closing her robe.

"He's the guy that was in the club with me that night.  I use him to…"Gabrielle halted her statement and stared into her wife's expecting gaze.  She really didn't know if revealing to the judge what they did together while conducting business would upset the judge or not…or would she arrest him on the spot.  It really was up to her if she wanted to sentence him.  And her wife’s confession would have been sufficient evidence to do just that.

"You use him in some of your jobs huh?  Is that what you wanted to say Gabrielle?" The judge asked with a stone look on her face.

"He is really a good friend. We grew up together and even though he's a human-zoid, he really is a nice person.  There is no person in all of Faze Land, outside of you that is," She said smiling.  That I trust with my life.  Please…Please don't arrest him."

The judge sighed and let her gaze roll slowly down her partner's body before finally staring down at the floor.

"I know I am a judge Gabrielle.  And I know to some, that fact instills fear.  But my only concern right now is you and our child.  Your friends are just that…your friends.  And they are welcomed to visit anytime without fearing that I'm going to sentence them.  That is," the judge said slowly raising her left eyebrow, "Unless they are bold enough to commit a crime right before my eyes.  Then I WILL sentence them."

Gabrielle smiled and gave her wife a quick kiss before jerking the door opened.

"Brie," he said dashing into the condo and shielding Gabrielle from the Judge.

"I'm afraid our JUDGE friend here deceived you.  She's no Strange Day Ho'.  She's one of the top judges of the council.  Get your things," He said turning around to hurry his friend.

"BRIEEEEEE!"  He shrieked looking down at his friend's swollen frame.  "DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO WEAR YOUR NET."

"LOOK AT'CHA.  HOW IN THE HELL ARE WE GOING TO MAKE A FAST GET AWAY...WITH YOU AS BIG AS A HUB HAULER."

"Would you calm down." Gabrielle said taking her shocked friend's arm and turning him back around to face the Judge.

"I have been quailed dummy and this…this lovely creature," Gabrielle said with lustful eyes.  "Is my wife, Alaeah Dread.  Baby…say hello to my friend."

"It's nice to meet you…dummy." The judge said with a crooked grin.

"Oh no the name is…"

"I know what your name is," the judge popped walking past him and stopping to give Gabrielle a kiss before leaving the room.

"Do not, upset my wife." The judge said turning slightly to give Gabrielle's friend a clear view of her adamant expression.  "If you do and her and my child is harm I will be very angry and…you don't want to see me angry.  Other than that," the Judge said preparing to close the door behind her,  "you all have a good chat."

Airfaire Towers, right down from the Judge’s condo...

“When is she going to leave.” Silas snarled watching Gabrielle and her friend chit-chat and giggle through his Quasar viewer.

“Patience fool...and don’t get nervous.  That little breeder is loaded with the Judges little Tasmanian troll.  Any ill thoughts or attempts to hurt her will set the judge off like a bomb. You know once she quails a mate she develops these spacial sensors that monitors her little baby maker and her entire territory.  So clear your minds and wait it out.  If she picks up on anything unusual she will stop at nothing to eliminate it.”

 Judges bedroom...

“Well...Well...Well,” Judge Laney chimed.  Activating the Judges sonic comm vision through voice command.

“What do you want?” Dread said plopping down on the bed.

“CONGRATULATIONS DREAD!” Ramona screamed.  Falling up against Laney cackling.  Ramona was also a judge and an occasional lover for Laney when she was in their sector.

“Hay Ramona,” Dread drawled holding up her middle finger.  Laney and her partner shared another laugh before lighting into their friend and colleague.

“Dread...what’s up with you.  The minute we let you out of our eyesight you go and get your self quailed.  We can’t leave you alone can we?  So what does she look like?” Ramona asked curious to know if Dread’s mate was cute.

“She is the most beautiful creature in all of Faze land.” Dread returned with dreamy eyes.

“Ooh,” Laney chimed shoving Ramona out of her lap and scooting closer to her CommVision.

“Dread, please tell me it is NOT the thief...Please...Please...Please!  Tell me it’s not the thief”

“Hay what can I say...” Dread said with a crooked grin.

“Ooh...” Ramona hummed.

“If you’ve quailed her last night that means by tomorrow you’ll be a Silver Star Transulon won’t’cha.”

“What do you want Dread.  A boy or a girl?”  Laney asked.

“Stupid...what’s wrong with ya.  Don’t you know that all Transulon and breeder’s offspring are females.” Ramona said shoving Laney back from the screen.

“So Dread...did you howl for twenty minutes or thirty.”

“Howl?”

“Dread do you howl when you’re getting a piece?” Laney asked jerking her lover back to watch the expressions on the Judges face.

“No, she doesn’t howl when she’s getting a piece.  She howls when she quails.  Isn’t that right Dread.  You see the louder Transulons scream during climax the easier it is for them to expel their reproduction oils.  Isn’t that right Dread.”

Dread gave her friend a knowing nod before telling her she was correct...on all counts.

“Damn dread it’s a lot easier being a human-zoid.  You wouldn’t have to go through all of this tribal junk.  Naw...but you and your race, have to have the perfect mate. Her eyes turn white as snow when you’re getting a piece and what...what’s that little cub of yours going to look like...YOU?”  Laney asked with furrow brows.

“As a matter of fact,” Ramona interrupted.  “Yes she will look like Alaeah.  Her wife...” Ramona said pausing briefly to ask Dread what was her wife’s name.  Dread told her and she continued her statement.

“Any who, Gabrielle is the vessel in which to incubate the baby.  The baby will look exactly like Dread and after the bonding period between Dread’s wife and baby she will have teeth too.  Fascinating...your species is absolutely fascinating.” Ramona said with eyes of wonder and total amazement.

“Well...it sounds like a Zoo to me.  Am I going to be a godmother?  Dread I want to be a god mother.” Laney stated with menacing eyes.

“Transulons don’t have god parents.  They do however have Transulors.  These are secondary parents that are appointed by my wife and I.  If any thing should happen to us the transulor will be responsible for raising the child."

“Oh,” Laney said with furrow brows.  “So I can’t be your child’s god parent?”

“What did she just say mongoloid drone.  She said her and her wife would have to select the Transulor and what they do to become that I don’t think you would be interested.  They call them Transulors because after drinking a cup of the baby’s blood it changes your biological make up.  By the time you get through changing inside you’d be able to mate just like Dread does.” Ramona said falling back on the bed laughing.

“That...is...simply disgusting.  DREAD...get your clothes on and get down here.  Lord Justice has requested your presence.  We have a loco laser bomber terrorizing the Opulent Kings and Queens now.”

“Alright,” Judge Dread said with a lingering sigh.  “Give me a cruuton.  I just have to make sure Gabrielle will be safe here without me.”

“Aw...let me guess you have some kind of harm sonar built in ya now?” Laney asked sarcastically.

“Why yes I do...I can detect any kind of threat within ten miles of my mate in all directions.  Rather it is a harmful thought, dream, or spoken word. I can’t help it. It’s my ancient make up.” Dread returned with mocking eyes.

“Well put your antennas back in Alien and get your radar tits down town...we have a briefing in two cruutons.”

“I’m on the way.” Dread said immediately ending the transmission with a wave of her hand.

Dread sat staring at the Commvision and if only for a moment she thought she felt something...something that wasn’t right.  Quickly she regained her footing and went into the next room to check on Gabrielle.  She and Carl were still chatting.  As her partner continued to talk, Dread quietly moved over to the drapes and cracked it slightly.  Looking out to see if she saw something out of place.

“What is she looking for?”  Carl asked, growing a little disturb by the judge odd behavior.

“She’s checking the periphery.  If she senses something out of the ordinary she is patterned to check it out especially with my being pregnant.  She will be overly cautious.  But no need to worry.  Long as you don’t thing evil thoughts about doing away with me she won’t kill ya.”  Gabrielle said giving her friend a serious glance before falling back laughing.  “No seriously though she can detect danger within ten miles of her own territory.  And if necessary she will defend it.”

“Gabrielle, I have to go down to the magistrate building.  Are you and what’s his face going anywhere?  I really prefer you stay here.  Something’s not right, but I just can’t put my finger on it.”

“Well I hadn’t planned on going out.  We were just going to sat here and chat.” Gabrielle said looking up at her worried partner.

“If you like I can go with you.”

“No...you’re too far along to do ANY traveling.  Much less riding on my skyscraper.  No you stay here.  I’ll activate the force field.  Only thing is...dum dum here...”

“My name is Carl.” Gabrielle friend growled.

“Well, Carl the dum dum won’t be able to leave until I get back.  I’m going to set it so that only I will know the frequency of it and no one can deactivate it but me.”

“Baby...you seemed to be distracted or something.  Was there any changes in the way things look out side?”  Gabrielle asked.  She was really beginning to feel uncomfortable now.

“No...I just had this weird feeling as if we were being watched.  Where is your wrist comm?  I want you to put it on and I will synchronize mines to yours that way I can keep track of you.  If anyone gets in here I want you to take this.” The judge said handing her partner a red pellet.

“This will release an undetected chemical in your body, that is safe for you and the baby but it will aid me in finding you okay.  Repeat what I just said.” The judge stated with wild eyes.  Gabrielle repeated what her mate said before placing it in a hidden compartment in her wrist comm.

“If anyone breaches that force field I want you to take it do you hear me.

“Yes,” Gabrielle said, softly.  Fear was beginning to set in now.

Dread immediately picked up on her partner’s fear.  “No need to worry baby.  I’ll be back before you know it.  The Justice is just going to brief us on some new occurrences that are happening in Opulent Valley.

Following that I will come directly home.  Besides I have the best security field known in all of Faze Land.” Alaeah said.  Finishing with a confident smile.  Gabrielle returned the smile and gave her partner a kiss.

“Ooh,” She uttered snapping slightly back from her partner and looking down at her juggling mid section.

“Look likes someone has just become aware of her mother’s scent too.  Say hello to your daughter.  She is cutting a rug in there.”

Dread lowered herself to her knees, closed her eyes and gently laid her thumbs along opposite sides of Gabrielle’s pouch and started humming.

“Oh good gracious,” Carl said rolling his eyes.  Disgusted by the humble sight.

“Hush up idiot.  This is how she talks to the baby.  Without her mother’s touch she will literally tear me open trying to get to her scent.”

“Geesh,” Carl sighed.  You non-humans have the weirdest ritual with your incubation periods.  Sure we have mother’s that ARE CARRYING their baby’s that sing to ‘em, but never this.”

Gabrielle chuckled at her friend’s discomfort and directed her attention back to dread and her bonding offspring.

“She’s calmed down now.  She’s not clawing me from the inside.”  Dread rose to her feet after leaning in and planting a soft kiss upon her mate’s swollen pouch.

“She should sleep for a while. You’re nearly a fourth of the way into your second trimester.  It’ll probably be another 24 hours before you deliver.  I’m going to tell the justice that we are preparing for her coming so that I will have ample time off for the landing.”

“Oh...is that another name for maternal leave.  You zoids make me ill.” Carl snarled at the pair before giving them a crooked smile.

“As much as I want to resent this union...I can’t.  You two look great together.”

“Thank you Dum-dum.”

“The name is...aaaaahhh, forget it. I have a feeling that you are going to be calling me that for the duration. No matter how many times I tell you my correct name.”

“You are right,” Dread said with a sly grin.

“Take care of my girls for me while I’m away.”

“She is in the best of hands.”  Dread turned around and gave Gabrielle’s friend a snort.  “No, she is in the best of hands with me, Dum-dum.  I’m going to get ready.  And Gabrielle remember what I said.  Nothing odd should happen, but if by chance I’m not here and someone breaches the field I want you to take that pill I’ve given you.”

“I will love.  You just hurry back.  I miss you already.”

“Awwwww...get up off the mushy talk. I’m getting a bad taste in my mouth here.” Carl growled while turning his back on the kissing pair.

Half a Cruuton later...

“Shush...Simple Simons,” Chyna said softly.  “Dread’s Skyscraper just came on.  That means she’s about to leave.”

“Well, I hope she hurries up.  I’m getting the creeps sitting so close to her domain.  AND, I’m sick of counting sheep.” Silas popped.  Chyna turned and balled her fist up in frustration.  Threatening to beat him by bringing it up in front of her and shaking it at him.

“Shush, I know.” He said faintly.

Magistrate Hall...

“Wow, it’s the honorable Judge Alaeah Dread.” Laney announced.  Sliding in close to her friend and mimicking the motions of a Space Porter.

“Tell us Judge Dread. How is marriage different from being a transulon virgin?”

“Leave Dread alone.” Ramona said shoving her lover away from dread and slipping her arm around the Judge’s heavily armor waist.

“So how is the little transuleer coming.  She should be ready to deliver by midnight tomorrow night.”

“She’s getting close.” The judge returned.  Stepping off with her more knowledgeable friends.

“Do you need me to bring over some extra fruit.  You know you are going to need it when your mate and the baby begin their bonding.”

“That’ll be nice.  Laney you wanna come.  You can watch my wife dispose of the baby’s fingernails.”

“FINGERNAILS!” Laney exclaimed with bulging eyes.  “Why does she eat her fingernails?”

“Baby,” Ramona began.  “These are regular fingernails.  All little transuleers are born with three inch nails.  It enables them to open the mother’s pouch.  WITH, it’s transulon mother’s guidance.  If Dread doesn’t monitor the birth Gabrielle could be literally torn apart.”

“OH MY GOD.  WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?  DREAD’S LITTLE CLONE COULD KILL HER WIFE?”

“Well...” Ramona drawled before slowly answering.  “It has been known to happen.”

Dread didn’t bother to comment.  Instead she continued to the conference room without a word.  Her occasional partner, Judge Laney, followed quietly, unsure of what to say.  She’d seen mothers die in childbirth.  But, they were never torn apart from the inside.

Dread’s condo...

“You are kidding?” Carl asked dumbfounded.

“You mean you are going to be asleep for 72 hours.  Good Lord Gabrielle, what have you gotten into.”

“I love Dread.  And I will quail with her any time.  AND...on top of that she’s a great lover.  And her smell...oh her scent is...”

“What was that?” Gabrielle asked jumping to her feet and nervously casing the room.

“I don’t know.” Carl said slowly regaining his stance and checking the room too.

“It sounded close.  And it sounded like a fly entering a fluorescent light trap.”  Carl then looked back at Gabrielle and for the first time in his life, he saw fear in her eyes.  They’d been through a lot together.  They’d even fought a sabertooth bacchie.  But never had he seen such a display on his friend’s face.

“Don’t worry Brie.  I’ll go check it.  I’m sure it isn’t anything.  Maybe your new wife has a Security system that plays music when you get near it.  You know...kind like those new cars they built twenty years ago, to supposedly ward off burglars.” Carl said with a comforting smile.  Trying to ease his friend’s apprehension.

“Maybe,” Gabrielle said.  Pausing just long enough to take a deep breath.

Just as Carl made it to the door a huge explosion went off.  Blowing the hatch completely off the frame.  Hurling him and the door clear cross the room.  Gabrielle shrieked in fear and broke for the bedroom.  Clouds of smoke filtered into the room as Gabrielle caught a glimpse of the three intruders.

She quickly closed the door behind her and set off the alarm on her wristband while taking the pill Dread instructed her to take.

Shortly afterwards another explosion went off directly in front of the pairs bedroom door.  The blast was so forceful that it sent her and the hatch flying across the room.  Quickly, Gabrielle rolled out from under the door and opened fire.

“GET DOWN!”  The larger image screamed while tucking and rolling from the door to behind the bed.

“I can take her from here.  I have a clear shot.”  Silas yelled as the smoke rapidly filled the room.

“Hold your fire.  The baron wants her whole.” Chyna yelled thrusting her self up against the bed into a sitting position.

She then removed a vial from her belt and yelled for her two conspirators to don their mask. Gabrielle continued to release her piercing lasers into the thickening clouds.  Still unsure of who or where the intruders were.  Suddenly, there was a bright light...and that was the last thing that she saw.  She tumbled onto her back and her quailing swathe quickly sealed her eyes before she went into a temporary state of unconsciousness.

“Man, what was that?” Silas asked moving toward to Gabrielle.

“Oh...it’s just a generic lunchable I’ve made up just for this occasion.  I’ve created an ion potion from the scent of a dead transulon and magnified it a touch so that her body would react as if she’s quailing.

“Ingenious.” Samuel said.  Rather impressed with the dumb jock’s ability to understand the physiology of breeders.

“Let’s get back.  It won’t take much longer before whatever she took sends a trace back to Dread.”

“Well, can’t you give her something to eliminate the bio patterns it will create to set up the trace?” Silas asked.  Stooping down to pick Gabrielle up.

“No.  Not without killing her or maiming the little spawn that’s in her.  The baron would not be too happy about that.  Now let's’ get back."

Silas hauled Gabrielle roughly up onto his shoulder and prepared to leave before Chyna stopped him.

“Give her here fool. You can’t carry her like a potato sack.  You’ll rupture her sack...bean brain.”

Silas watched as Chyna moved back through the fog like an ancient gladiator.  Easily cradling Gabrielle in her mighty arms.

“Show off...I hate steroid jocks.”

“I heard that.” Chyna said breaking into a pulsar sprint.

“How...How...How in the hell are we suppose to keep up with her?” Silas asked watching Chyna disappear from sight.

“We’re not...the baron has what she wants.  What we have to do now is lay low. And I hope like hell that you didn’t touch anything while you were in there.  Dread is sure to pick up on your signature if you have.”

“I didn’t touch anything.”

“Good...now let’s get out of here.” Samuel said.  Once they were at a safe distance down from the condo he removed his mask and discarded it in the automated trash dispenser that patrols the floor.

Magistrate Hall...

“Now that the formalities have been discussed I think we owe Judge Dread a round of praise.  Not only did she capture the thief but married her as well.” Lord Justice said initiating a rather unusual response from the room full of judges.  Dread wasn’t sure what she should do.  She wasn’t use to public displays.  So she grandly took her footing and began issuing her patrons a royal wave.  It was then that she noticed her sonar wristband was going off.

“Shiiiit,” She said leaping over her desk and tearing out of the room.

“DREAD!” Laney shrieked following her friend out.

“WHAT...IS...GOING...ON?”

“GABRIELLE...”Dread shouted back.

“GABRIELLE’S IN TROUBLE.”

Half a Cruuton Later...

“Radar vision.” Dread ordered as she stepped off the tower slide.  A thin polyglass shield slid down from her helmet over her eyes and began examining the particles in the air.  Chemical Evidence of the explosion appeared to be gone, but dread could view the area just as it was before the perpetrators took their leave of the place.

“Lady,” Dread said stepping into the apartment.  Activating her partially disable Condo computer.

“Yes, Yes, Yes...Judge Dread.” The computer returned with an obvious glitch in its matrix.

“Scan for Gabrielle.”

Seconds later...

“Sorry, Jud...Jud...Judge dread.  I am only picking up on one life sign and it is that of Carl Nomad.  I can release additional oxy...oxy...oxygen elements into the air to try and resuscitate him if you wish.”

“No don’t.” the Judge said examining the colorful group of particles floating in the air.

“Instead I want you to give me the chemical makeup of the dust floating about.”

The computer went silent.  Attempting to compile the data as its master had requested.

“Ohhhhh...Ohhhhh,” Carl moaned from across the room.  He still was disoriented.  The judge watched as he struggled to regain his stance after shoving the door off of him self.

“BRIE!” he shouted.  Gagging from the chemical mist that still plagued the room.

“BRIE!” he cried out again.  Stumbling over to the bedroom entrance.

“Gabrielle’s not here.” The judge returned using her transportal device to place her right in front of Gabrielle’s friend.

“Where is she?” She growled.  Glaring down at Gabrielle's friend.  She’d hoped he’d stayed conscious just long enough to give her a description of Gabrielle’s captors.

“I DON’T KNOW WHERE SHE IS?” He shouted.

“All I know is that I went to the door and it blew up in my face.  I’ve been unconscious every since then.”

Dread examining the truth of the statement by staring into Gabrielle's friend's eyes once more before checking the readings on her Wrist again.

“Lady,”

“Yes, Judge Dread.”

“You never got back with me on the compounds of this mist.  Can you peg this reading on my wrist comm and give me a draft.”

“I’ll try judge.”

The computer went silent again.  It didn’t take long for a huge map of the Poison Plains to display on the Judge’s Visual Comm.

“My God,” Carl uttered.  He’d been rubbing the back of his neck since he rose from his feet.  He still felt dazed and a little confused.  Yet the computer analysis were definite.  His mouth slid open in shock as the draft displayed a map of the one place everyone in Faze Land avoided.

“Dear Lord that can’t be right.  Tell your lady friend to check the co-ordinance again. Brie can’t be there?”

The judge snatched her helmet off and just stared at the map.  There was no second guessing it...the baron had Gabrielle.

The Judges head fell back as a scream of anger tore from her throat.  The apartment trembled and shook.  Carl scrambled for solid ground. He had never seen an angry Transulon before.  But if taking their mates made them react like this, he wanted no part of it.

“All this time baron you laid silent.” The Judge growled bringing her hand briskly in the air.  Carl didn’t know what happened then but what he did know was that something flew by him in a heated rush.

“Clean this place up.” The judge said bringing her hand slowly down in front of her.  Strange, at first Carl thought her hand was on fire.  Yet, with a closer look, he could see that it wasn’t.  It was this thing that hovered over her hand.  It rotated in a circular illustration, and the middle of it was hallowed.

“Gabrielle will be near delivery when we arrive and I don’t want any mishaps.” The Judge said seizing the swirling round thing in her hand.  Instantly…snuffing it’s flames.

“What is that?”  Carl asked.  Amazed by the artistry of whatever it was.

“It has been passed down to me through the generations.  It's called a chakram.”

“But it burns.”

“Yes...It is said that my great, great, great grandmother was a Valkyrie.  It was she that placed the fires of the dragon’s breath upon the weapon.  Once release, there is no defense against it.”  Dread looked down into Gabrielle’s friend’s puzzled face and told him that she would return with Gabrielle.  She had no more time to explain ancient urbans.  She had less than 24 hours to locate Gabrielle and bring her home safely...or before it was time for her to deliver.

Several Cruutons later...

It didn’t take Dread 20 Minatrons to reach the Bad Lands.  It did however, take her longer to make it into the Baron’s lair.  Not only is her mate attracted to her scent so was those stupid leeches. Well, whoever stowed away in the tubes from now on, doesn’t have to worry about getting attacked by them.  Dread had gutted them all.

“Well...Well...Well,” A voice sung out as Dread cautiously made her way into the first lit passageway in the baron’s fort.

“Do come in Dread.  I believe we have something for you.”  The baron said finally revealing herself.  With a press of a button an entire wall gave way and out slid Gabrielle.  Strapped to what look like a sacrificial cross.

“I must compliment you on your selection of Breeders Dread.  She is absolutely adorable.  Shame, although I think she is extremely attractive I still have no remorse about killing her.”

“Release her NOW Caleerah.” Dread growled lifting her Wrist to singe away the bonds that held Gabrielle Prisoner.

“Nah, Nah, Nah,” the baron said audibly.  Regaining the Judges attention.  The baron then pointed up over Gabrielle’s head to reveal the bowl of swarming parasites that was suspended right about the blonde’s head.

“You know...you should be nice to me.  Why If I was to trip and fall on this control that are holding those little wonderful creatures prisoners up there, they’d be all over your little lovely there in a matter of seconds.  And we both know it won’t be a pretty sight...to watch your lover be eaten from the inside out.  Don’t we?”  Caleerah said with a triumphant smile.

“What do you want Caleerah?”

"Ohhhhhh…maybe, my life back." Caleerah said snapping her fingers and sauntering ever so slowly over to Gabrielle.  One by one her She droids revealed themselves.  Along with her lover…Chyna, above.

"Orrrrrrr…maybe, I'll settle for revenge, You heartless bitch.  DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG MY SKIN BURNED AFTER YOU USED YOUR NAEPON FLARE ON ME." She screamed pulling a remote from her waistband.

"Oh, I remember the pain.  Pain so unbearable at times I thought I was dying.  Amazing isn't it…after the world scientist cured all of the twenty century diseases it became kind of unusual to die.  EVEN WHEN YOUR VERY SKIN IS BEING CHARRED FROM YOUR BODY RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES."  She screamed again.  It was obvious that this woman was not stable.  One minute she was oh so pleasant and loving.  Then the next she was screaming and flapping her arms about as if she'd lost her mind.

"Release Gabrielle…It is I that you want."  Alaeah said in a humble tone.  The baroness stared at her adversary a long while before continuing on with her plan.  Yes, it was true that the girl had nothing to do with her and Dread’s feud.  But, the scared look in Dread's eyes was certainly worth her efforts.

“You know...the chemistry between the Transulons and their mates fascinate me Dread." The baroness said turning away from Dread and squeezing a drop of something down into her hands.

"You can control everything on and in her body, just about.  Amazing,” she said pausing long enough to lower her hand onto a struggling Gabrielle’s stomach.  “With a scent you can soothe your offspring, awake it or even warn it.  I wonder what scent it this.”  The baron asked running her fingertips over Gabrielle’s pouch.

Dread took several steps toward the Baron and Gabrielle but was reminded of the pool of death that Caleerah had hanging right above her lover’s head.

“What are you doing?” Dread said in a concerned tone as she watch the once dormant figure in her mate’s pouch begin to stir again.

“Oh...I just rubbed a replicated version of your warning scent onto your sweetie’s stomach.  Let’s see what happens shall we.”  She said leaning in and resting her chin upon Gabrielle’s shoulder.

“Oh...Oh...Alaeah,” Gabrielle uttered in a frightened tone.

“Stay calm Gabrielle.  Don’t move.  As long as you remain still the baby won’t react.”

“Oh shucks...that’s right,” The baron said snapping her fingers and pulling out her electronic depositor.  With it she gave Gabrielle a jolt that was so intense that her body jerked violently about before going rigid.

“There...that should inspire the little one to investigate.” She said looking about the room at all of her droids. Didn't want any sudden moves from Dread without it being met with a speedy rebuttal from her women.

Dread watched as the baby’s movements became vigorous and Gabrielle began to scream.

“My,” the baron said with a chuckle.  “I believe the sweet little thing is awake now.”

Dread removed her helmet and shoulder guards and threw them to the floor.  With one flick of her wrist she unsheathed her grandmother's ancient weapon.  Caleerah watched in amazement as it kind of hovered over the judge's hand.  Smothered with pretty flames.

"Release my wife Caleerah…and I want it done now."

"Excuse me," Caleerah said looking around the room again.  "I'm in charge of this little party Dread, NOT YOU.  Plus…THIS IS MY HOUSE.  CALEERAH GIVES THE ORDERS ROUND HERE."

Gabrielle's screams became more distressed as everyone in the room stood staring at her.

"Release her NOW, Caleerah.  Or I will kill everything in here."

"Not before I kill her." Caleerah said raising her hand to release the parasites.

With the instinct of a cat Dread's hand went up in to the air and released her chakram. All that was heard was a clank as it banked against the cross Gabrielle WAS tied to then up into the rafters to sever the wires of the parasites pit.

"Arrrrrggggh NOOOOOOO!" The baroness screamed.  Frantically pressing the buttons on the remote and finally hurling it to the ground.

"GET HER," She shouted looking up at her lover and nudging her head at the nearest exit.  Her mate nodded her head and discreetly stepped back from the rail and transported out.

With a flick of her wrist the Judge released her chakram again.  Sending it hurling about the room.

Cutting through anything and everything that moved.  A second flick of her wrist sent the surging wheel of fire hurling into all of Caleerah's control panels and neuron servers.  Bringing about a permanent silence to Baroness castle computer

"THIS ISN'T OVER DREAD…I PROMISE YOU THAT." Caleerah screamed before activating her wrist cloaking device.  "JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE RID OF ME DREAD, I'LL SHOW UP AGAIN.  AND NEXT TIME MY TAKING WILL BE EVEN GREATER."  After delivering her final warning the Baroness activated her transportal.  Providing a safe retreat for her.  And time…to live and fight another day.   Flicking her wrist once more, Dread stilled her weapon.  Right above her wife's head.

"Gabrielle, I want you to take the weapon and rest it on your pouch."  The Judge ordered holding her place.  Tears streamed down the blonde's pain ridden face as she reached up from her crouching position and seized the weapon.  Immediately her body went Rigid and her swathe covered her eyes again. Dread watched as the activity in Gabrielle's pouch stilled.  Good…they were both sleeping.  Dread took a few cleansing breaths before making it over to her partner and removing the weapon from her hand.

"Let's go home baby.  You've had a busy day." She whispered softly.  Leaning in to give Gabrielle a peck on her forehead.  Before transferring them back home.

Back at the condo...

“Okay, do we have the fruit?” Ramona asked looking over the various items she’d purchased from the floating ark.

“Check.” Carl returned.

“Linen...did you get plenty of it out for the birth.”

“I don’t know about plenty of it, but I do know I have a lot.”

“Do you think that she’ll get to Brie in time.” Carl asked in a concerned tone.

“Child,” Ramona said turning to look into Gabrielle’s friend frightened eyes.  “If Dread said she’d be back she will.  I’m just glad that you did the cleaning up.  We can take care of that huge hole where the door was, later.  LANEY.” Ramona yelled heading over to her intoxicated partner.  “Stop your drinking we may need you when Dread gets here.

“Hay...” Laney urged.  Reaching up to pull her swiftly departing lover back to her.

“That little troll of theirs is not going to get out and go to slicing on us is it.  I mean...if it has the ability to cut its mother open from the inside what will it do when it gets out.”  Laney said, appearing more inquisitive than usual.

“It’s not like what you think...Just wait and see the entire birth.  It really is beautiful.”

“Is every thing ready.”  Dread asked stepping into the door with a panting Gabrielle cradled in her arms.

“Has it been ample time Dread.” Ramona inquired quickly making it over to the pair and opening the bedroom door for the Judge.

“Yes.  I just have to get her comfortable.  Then we can begin.”

“Alright...what do you need from us.”

“What I need you are already providing.  Gabrielle and I both need our friends to share this with us.  As you know I’ve never done this before so I’ll be moving primarily on instinct.  I see you’ve brought the fruit.   Good for some reason it completely slipped my mind.”  Dread said with a smile.  She then requested that their friends join them in the bedroom.  Now Carl didn’t know if he was all into this zoid birth thing, but if Brie needed him they could count him in.

“Dread I’ve given lady some new parts so she should be ready to come on line again.” Laney said placing her drink on the dresser just inside the door and pressing the commvision control.

“Good...remind me to thank you later.  Now I have to get Gabrielle comfortable.  Lady,”

“Yes...Judge Dread.”

“The room is a little stuffy.  I need you to lower the temperature a bit.”

“As you request Alaeah.  Shall I set the lighting?  Her eyes will become sensitive once she’s officially in labor.  We wouldn’t want her swathe to shield her eyes prematurely.”

“You’re right Lady...make it so.”  The lights in the room dropped down and a mirage of the setting sun created the scene and the soft cords of twentieth century blues laid the tone.

Dread crawled slowly up over her partner.  Absorbing every once of her attention and riding her body of the present tension that her body held.  Each of their friends moved slowly up on each side of the bed and knelt.  Watching as Dread ease her partner’s uneasiness with the gesture of the ancient ones.

She lowered her parted lips upon Gabrielle’s.  Silencing her lover’s frightened pants with a stimulating kiss.

Gabrielle cooed in appreciation as her fingertips took on a mind of their own as they crawled up her partner’s powerful thighs.  Dread’s head dipped and stirred.  Controlling the kiss with ancient precision and tenderness.  Gabrielle’s hand slid up onto her partner’s waist, over Dread’s firm backside and down over her thighs again.  Their caresses and soft kisses seem to drift with the music.  At times their touches were slow, gentle and soul stirring.  Then there were other times when they just seemed to linger.  With every meander, stroke, and caress their movements became more artistic and visually poetic.

The lovers soul bond had started. Putting the attendees in the mind of a very erotic love session.  Guided by the spirit of their Gods Dread expertly removed her partner’s clothing.  Folded them neatly and placed them in Ramona’s hand.  Ramona took the garments and placed them directly down in front of her under the bed.

Dread didn’t break a stride or alter a stroke as she swept her long dark mane to the side, drug it down her partner’s swollen body and showered it with kisses.

Brie closed her eyes and threaded her fingers in her lover’s hair.  Like the grace of a nice summer breeze Dread lifted Gabrielle's legs and began stimulating the core of her pouch.

“Uh, should we be watching this?” Laney asked.  Growing a little uncomfortable with the sensual display.

“Yesssss...their delivery ritual is a little like their quailing.  Dread licks around the seal of Gabrielle’s pouch.  Releasing a salivate that is chemically compatible with Brie’s pouch.”

“Yeah...well Gabrielle, look as if she’s getting into it.”

“She is.  Dread utilizes a sensual form of seduction to relax her partner while at the same time produce an agent in her body to prepare her partner for the delivery.  Hence the kiss...and Gabrielle’s inability but to concentrate on any thing around them accept her partner.

Everything that Ramona described took place.  What she didn’t describe was how when Dread ran her fingers on the outer rim of Brie’s upper pouch how the baby fingernails sheared through it like a slice of butter.  Creating an opening in which to exit through with the aid of its Transulon parent.

Laney watched Gabrielle closely, but she didn’t seem to be in any excruciating pain.  To be honest, she looked as if she was enjoying the entire thing.  Even after receiving a nice size opening in her stomach.

Dread crawled back up over her partner and reached into the opening.  The friends observed the erratic movement in Brie’s abdomen before it went still again.  The baby was latching on to Dread’s arm.  During home rituals only the Transulon parent is able to remove the offspring.

Patiently Dread removed her arm.  Laney gasped in shock as the baby’s head finally emerged.  Carl was lethargic.  The entire ceremony was mind boggling to him.  He looked as if he was in the middle of a mental melt down.

“Is she suppose to have her eyes open?” Laney asked staring at the little clinging figure.  It really was freaking her out.  The baby was born with her eyes open, three-inch fingernails and her skin looked as if she was covered with blood tinged saran wrap.

“Yessss." Ramona hissed.  "Although she appears to be staring at you in actuality she doesn’t see anything.   And she won’t see anything until Dread licks away the clear swathe from her eyes.  Once dread has consumed all of the after birth around her, the baby will began to cry.  Once that is done Dread will hand Brie the baby.  Which in return will...eat the fingernails.”

“Eat...them...long ass shears...or should I call them sabertooth claws. Damn this is some weird shit.  Where do we get off at.”

“Aw we have a ways to go baby. We still get to see Dread absorb the afterbirth.”

“Uh, Uh...Let me know when everything it kosher.  I need a drink.”  Laney said crawling away from her partner and the entire baby scene.

A cruuton later...

“Psssst, come here.” Ramona said beckoning her partner back into the room.

“Come see the baby.”

Laney took one final gulp of her drink before heading back into the couples’ bedroom.

Everything was so bright and cheery looking.  “Now, this is so much better.” Laney said moving over to the bed and plopping down beside the pair.  Dread lay behind her smiling partner embracing both her and her little transuleer.  And like Ramona said the baby was beautiful and she did...look like a normal baby. Thank the Gods.

“She’s beautiful you guys.  You both did a great job.” Laney praised while lifting the baby’s pinky and toying with it.

“These look a lot better than the first time I saw them.” She joked leaning in to kiss the back of her baby’s hand.

“We wanted you guys to see her before her and Gabrielle start their bonding. Ramona,” Dread said sliding from the bed.  “I’ll take that fruit now.  In a few more cruutons I’ll give them their final feeding before they hibernate.”

“Feed ‘em.”

“Yes...I have to feed my girls before they got to sleep.” Dread said following Ramona out of the room.

“Just how she’s going to do that?”

“Through her breasts.” Gabrielle said with a giggle.  She still hadn’t come down off the high her lover had dropped down on her during the delivery.

“You mean you get to suck your wife’s tits.”

“Yeah...”

“Man, now I may like that part of the ritual.  Can I watch?” Laney said with a giggle.  Her and Brie shared a hearty chuckle before diverting their attention over to her comatose pal...Carl.

“What about your friend there?  Will he be alright?” Laney asked leaning over a tad and waving her hand.

“Oh,” Brie started with another chuckle.  “He’ll be okay.”

“You know,” Laney commenced with playful eyes.  We could always dump him down the Disposal shoot?”

“Yeah, but outside of me he is the best in the biz.  He’d be out of there in a shake.  Screaming, why I let you guys do that to him.” The new friends stared into each other’s eyes and leaned into each other laughing once more.

“Whiner huh?”

“One of the biggest.” Brie retorted.
