The Conqueror Series: Tale One
Journey's End

Author:

Synopsis:
Ancient Greece was no place to be a woman. Slaves and prostitutes had more rights than women. What if one woman had the power to change all that? One female warrior, Aedon, became known as The Lion to her people and changed the way we view history.

She alone crushed Caesar's hopes for world domination and no longer do they say, "All roads lead to Rome." For now, The Greek Empire controls much of the known world and it is The Lion's likeness stamped upon their silver coins. Men such as Caesar and Alexander the Great, defeated by the Lion's skills and might, are mere mentions in the historical archives in Athens.

As terrible as she was strong, The Lion soon earned a reputation that caused women and children to cower in fear within her presence. No mortal man could match her in battle. The God of War, Ares, cursed her with a dark demon when she was still a teenager. The Beast controlled the warrior's soul during
times of battle to the point where she lost herself entirely. The darkness that fell upon her in battle turned her from honorable warrior, defending her homeland, to the evil Lord Conqueror.

Over twenty years have passed and Aedon, the Lord Conqueror, has finally tried to temper her selfish and hurtful ways. She has lost her lust for power and thus, her enjoyment of life. Time weighs heavy on her heart and she wishes to change, but has no idea how normal people act, let alone how they care for and love one another. Power and strength have been her ways of achieving everything. She never asked, only took. Now, she lives as one
vicariously looking through the windows of other people's homes.

However, Cassandra has now entered Aedon's life.

A slave girl for most of her life, Cassandra is as brilliant and beautiful as she is obedient. Since early childhood, she has lived in near luxury by providing for the sexual needs of her masters. She does exactly what she is told, every time she is told. Fearful and timid, yet with an undeniable quiet strength, Cassandra has touched something inside the Conqueror.

Aedon keeps the slave girl Cassandra and in doing so, has perhaps changed both of their lives forever. Feeling that her life is closer to its end than beginning, Aedon the Conqueror begins what is to be her most challenging journey of all, a discovery of self.
